DPS and You(r Party) in Patch 3.3
For all you WoW players out there...
Not surprisingly, the damage meter add-ons are having trouble with the new cross-realm pickup groups -- because they weren't designed to work that way. Unfortunately this means a lot of people are getting crap for low damage when they're actually doing fine. (This is especially true for hunters. From what I understood, add-ons like Recount sometimes only take readings within a certain radius that can be small, 10-20 yards. If the tank is the leader, this means s/he is only seeing the damage done by a hunter's pet. It is a sad story.)
The lesson? Rely less on your meters (at least after major patches) and more on how effectively the group downs bosses.
And I still have trouble breaking 2k DPS sometimes. Hopefully the new Emblems of Frost will change that...
