Half an hour of primping plus an hour of prep for a 20-minute interview = doom. So that? Was the opposite of last semester. It was a pre-screening by the university relations person, so it was very traditional/behavioral, as opposed to last time where they gave me problems to do for the entire ( Read more... )

It's like a mass pre-screening as opposed to interviewing for any specfic position or even location. So they'll send out the info and the evaluations, and managers who are interested can contact us about specific positions. Depending on how diligent the managers are, it could be a week or 3 months. (I'm kind of hoping for later rather than sooner so I can explore other options.)

ahh i see. no silabs? from all accounts, life here is much better than elsewhere, at least life in wireless :P you go IBM, etc, be prepared for a world of dilbert...

Lol my neighbor who works at IBM said that last summer, her group's interns spent something like the first two weeks unpacking boxes. Fun!

Her group was software. So we now know that for IBM job functions, software = unpacking boxes, and hardware = getting laid off. Good information.
