Goo!

Howdy! It's 10:36 here in the wonderful town of Huntsville and this is my first real entry in this journal. Fancy that!
Anyway, wake up for me was at 0515 - Delicious for any college student. :-/ I had to be at PT at 0545. Now PT was fun - That was a good workout. We did muscle failure exercises and we went for a battalion run around SHSU. That was interesting! Up and down hills and right by some of the dormitories ... If we didn't wake someone up, then we're not doing a good enough job! After PT, we did a 10 minute practice on drill. The MS IIIs need to work on their drilling techniques, so they get about 10 minutes to do so. Good God! Someone please teach them what the hell to do - I was about to scream! It was torture!
After PT, I went back to my apartment and took a much needed shower. After refreshing myself, I hopped into my BDUs and went to the Belvin for breakfast. I got the usual: Eggs, a banana, two biscuits, a slice of wheat bread, and two glasses of grape juice. Yum!
After I ate, I got to go to class. Oh, how much fun that was! My first one - Math. I don't like math ... I really don't. I struggled to stay awake because the teacher isn't all that great. :-( It was so slow! But I need to pay attention to it because I have a test on Friday. Woo hoo! (NOT!) So I need to do good on this first test - It's the one that'll make you or break you.
After Math, I have ROTC. That was fun. We watched another video clip of an AC-130 doing bombing missions over in the Sandbox. After the video, we had a lecture about the roles of officers in the Army. Not a bad class.
After ROTC, it's History. I love History! My professor is so much fun! We actually had a lecture today! It was over ... ummm ... Lemme think. I'll get back to you on that one! ;-)
I got out of History at 1200, so I went back to my apartment for a while, then I went to go eat at Long John Silver's. Yum - I love their lil' fishies! After I ate, I came back here and chilled until 1345 - I had to be at the ROTC building again for lab.
Today we went to Gibb's Ranch, which is a farm about 6 miles north of town. We did an obstacle course today - That was pretty tough! We did a crawl under a barbed wire area, a trail run, some low clearance maneuvering, a creekbed run, a log walk across another creek bed, a rope swing, a paintball range, a rope climb, a tire drag, and then a 100 yd sprint to the finish. The course was a lot of fun! The cadre were impressed with me because I charged every event with a kick ass attitude and for the fact that I epitomized the slogan "leave no man behind." One of the guys in our group was what I call a donut. He's round. He's in a group full of fast people - He didn't really fit in. But oh well. During the course, he got dehydrated and he fell over. He didn't pass out, his legs just done give out. So I played the good soldier and I picked his lard ass up and I huffed him and his 200lb body 500 yards to the finish. I just threw him over my shoulder and we were gone! It hurt, but it felt good when I threw him off of my shoulder. So other than the heavy load I didn't plan on carrying, I got pretty beat up. I got thorn marks across my arms and I got pelted with paintballs. I got a few decent welts on my body, but I love 'em - Battle scars!
After we got back from Gibbs, I went back to my apartment and took a much needed shower and then I talked to my Sweetheart, just like I do every night. I love talking to her because we always have something to talk about and because I love her! God, she's GREAT! I couldn't ask for anyone better! So while I was talking to Sally, I worked on my English essay and watched Smallville - Actually Sally signed off and went and watched it. I didn't know she was a Smallville addict! That just makes us THAT much closer - Something else we have in common!
After I got my English essay typed, I posted this thing and now I am off to bed. I am kinda tired.
Sally, I love you Sweetheart and I always will Baby!! :-*
Goodnight Sweetie.
