(no subject)
So, I'm sitting here waiting for my assessment lab to start so I can put on my sexy hospital gown and have my partner check out my hair, skin, and nails. Luckily, I only have to wait about twenty more minutes. I think that with all the warm weather we had been having, they decided to turn the air conditioning on in this building, because now it's crazy cold everywhere, even here in the computer lab where it's usually like a million degrees. I just sat through my three hour long Foundations class, and surprisingly it went by really quickly for me. Usually I start compulsively checking my watch with about two and a half hours left of class. Today she ended class and I didn't even realize it was close to being time to go. I'm hoping my lab will go just as quickly. Actually, I'm hoping the lab will end early, but my professors usually ignore my pleads to just forget about class and go home. Yesterday instead of going to my clinical we were in the lab learning how to do dressing changes and catheterizations. That is FUN stuff. Actually, I did like changing the dressings. And the catheters aren't as bad as I thought they'd be, although they are freaking huge. Seriously, the ones in are kit are smaller than the ones normally used, and I can't imagine how that would feel to have someone stick something that big in my urethra. However, if it's done correctly, it doesn't hurt. Or so I'm told. In any case, I'm in no rush to have a catheter of my own. I am, however, in a rush to go to my lab and get it over with so I can go home and take a nap, so this is the end.
