Sad Story
So my mom just came in here a second ago and told me that one of our neighbors from Norwood just called her to tell us that our old next door neighbor was found dead in his mail truck yesterday. (He was a mailman). Apparently foul play isn't suspected, but an autopsy is being performed right now. It's really quite shocking, and very sad. I mean, I grew up living next door to this guy. I played with his kids, and his grandkids. My parents played cards with them, and they used to have giant 4th of July and anniversary parties that we'd go to. And I don't know how many summer nights I sat on my front porch listening to the Reds game, only for Dave to come home half drunk and have crazy conversations with him. And he had the tackiest Christmas lights, but it was great. We used to go over there early on Halloween and go through his candy to take what we wanted. He really was a great neighbor, and I know his wife must be in quite a state. He wasn't that old either. It's a little upsetting. The last time I saw him was one day when I was at UDF seeing Lauren. He stopped and talked to me for a while. It's really sad.
