Today I woke up insanely early after having slept in some wierd contortionist fashion that has left me so sore it's driving me crazy! I stopped by Walmart and got a little stuffed animal leopard in a Hawaiian shirt no less, and wrapped his leg in gauze. I found a cute card. Got home around 7:00 AM, and left the presents in Dad's chair. I know he was sooooo scared about the surgery (which had been rescheduled for today). He loved it, and he went in around 10:30. All went well, and he and my Mom are laying the bedroom watching Laurel and Hardy. He's having a tough time with the pain, but is one tough dude. Meanwhile, I got to pick Katey up from school which is always fun. Due to the FABULOUS weather, we had a Taco Mayo picnic on the front yard, and then I just found things to do while she played. So, some sisterly bonding to keep her out of the house so Dad could re-coop. I have been sewing all day, and am about to get down to it. I am very excited about the Art on the Corner thing this Saturday. I am really counting on making some $ to help assist in The Move. Brandon has footed the bill on everything, the deposit, the first month's rent, and yesterday, he even filled my gas tank for me. : ) I used to really want someone who would show me the attention I need/want in exactly the fashion that I need/want, i.e. lifting up boombox playing Peter Gabriel song outside of my bedroom window, etc; but I have come to appreciate the ways that B shows me he cares. Not just that these things are financial, they are selfless, and that means a lot to me. He doesn't expect a payback, he just continues to give and support until I can do the same. Plus, anyone with a crackpot girlfriend like me who has a new idea every 4 days would have just been like "get a job at Mc Donalds tomorrow, or it's over." But he is really showing his confidence in my creativity and my passion. For someone who is so sensible, and has been raised to think you have to go to a shitty job every day to pay the bills, and that's just all there is to it, he is really thinking outside of his familial box. I love him I love him I love him and I'm so ready for us to move into our new place. I can't wait to eat PB&J sandwiches while sitting on the balcony. All I need is a pug, and I'll be set. : ) Feeling very ambitious, better get back to sewing.
