Dubbing & Tv-Shows
Hi guys!
So, a brief update on this latest couple of months... feel free to skip, I just enjoy having a little memo of my days on my lj ;)
I've been attending a dubbing course, a 'masterclass', for a couple of months and it has been one of the most amazing (professional) experience of my life. I've had the opportunity to meet and to be guided by actor and one of the most famous Italian dubber Luc-a Ward, which was most humble and incredibly inspiring. A very nice person.
Among the 'anelli' (scenes) I've dubbed here's some I've enjoyed: The Gladiator, The Simpsons, Sons of Anarchy, Lie To Me, 007, The Diary Of Bridget Jones, Tangled... and many others. Obviously the scenes were 3 minutes long because it's pretty engaging for a newbie to dub long dialogues and the group was made of 18 people and we only had 5 hours per day to record.
Anyway, I met a lot of lovely people, we've had a nice dinner altogether to celebrate the end of the course, and in the end there's a DVD with all the bits I've personally dubbed along with professional shots of the group... which is rewarding.
Not sure what I'll get out of this experience -practically speaking- but I don't regret having spent my degree money on it one bit!
Short status on tv-shows....
- Orange is the new black S2 was glorious, funny as ever and well acted.
- I gave up on Graceland because S1 was a bit boring but I managed to watch it all, but as soon as I started S2 I realized there wasn't one bit of me that was invested in watching other episode in the future.
- I've been catching up on The Fall, which is as creepy as it is engaging. Can't wait for Colin to play the Detective in it :)
- I've only watched one episode of Hemlock Grove, which doesn't look bad: will see about the rest of the series.
- The Night Shift is a good series, it's not full of drama, which I appreciate, and the characters are nice.
- Orphan Black ended two days ago and it's BRILLIANT... but everyone knows really. Same goes for Game Of Thrones, which ends too quickly for my liking.
