Some ideas about Merlin S4.
If you don't want to be spoiled DON'T READ
B I G S P O I L E R
My ideas... nothing confirmed or anything...!
I know that there could be hundred of explanation about the funeral pyre in the courtyard; BUT I have this burning feeling that the dead person might be Lancelot. I.DON'T.WANT.
It's not just because it's the only person I can stand Gwen having a love-affair with, it's because it's one of my favourite, maybe the favourite character of the Arthurian Legend, like since EVER.
I don't remember any legend saying he dies so young or before the whole betrayal and stuff. (Except for the King Arthur movie -.-)
IT WOULDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.
If they had to kill him off like that they could have just hinted at him in the 1st and 2nd seasons and let us forget about him, and NOT make him come back and let us suffer for his death. They are really, really cruel.
Again, it all might be a stupid idea I'm having, with the fact that Santiago's filming his new show, and that he doesn't stick around much like the other Knights. There is NO body, so it could be a cover or something, just to get Lancelot pop back on screen with a surprise -and that would be awesome I guess... and it would help with Santiago filming Alcatraz and just take the Lancelot part later during his filming pause.
I've read the interviews and Angel says he's back and all, but they haven't exactly confirmed he'll be back again later and they haven't denied it yet. I guess they want to keep everything hushed :(
It hurts so much not to know :(
On more positive thoughts, as
gealach_ros said to me, "until we don't see a body, I'm not believing in anything yet". Which makes me ache less. Besides, there could be hundred of explanation for that cape and sword lying around...
GREAT EXPLANATIONS IN THE COMMENTS *___*
