The very first piece I ever heard by Arvo Pärt; the Cantus in memoriam Benjamin Britten started a lifelong love affair with his music and with sacred minimalism in general... the sheer deceptive simplicity and the way it builds (and oh, the bells) brings me near is incredible.
It starts very very quietly and builds very very slowly...
