Ummm, at the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I do have to mention my little link page, which has a LOT of the ones I use (must check for updated links one of these days)

If I had to choose just one or two (and make them more generalised) one to rec here -?

The food timeline because it is so easy to get little things (like when a foodstuff actually appeared, and who ate or rejected it in your historical period) wrong...

TV Tropes... covers every famdom imaginable, but opinionated (well, of course!) probably needs to be doublechecked before you use any of it... and a timewaster extraordinaire.

Seventh Sanctum Random Generators, do I need to say why? :)
