Chuck The Bassist: Bassists get no love at all. Sally: I'm surprised they even let you have a name!

Dearies,

Oh lordy, lordy me! Did I ever have a good time last night!? YES! I went out to a private party/concert in Bluemont with my brother, Casey, to see some friends bands play for the first time, and oh goodness, it was great. Casey described the gathering of people as, "lots of shiney happy people..." and he was so right on. It was great to meet Deanne, and her hunny Casey (drummer for WGB) and Mark, Becky, Drunk Josh, Justin, Terese, Damien, Charlie, Chuck, Diamond Dave, Deanne's two beautiful daughters, and lots of other lovely people. The two bands playing were The Walnut Grove Band and Jebus. They switched off sets all throughout the night, and both bands were positively magical and cast a wiggle spell over my entire person. For sure, I was quite pleased.

Before this concert extravaganza we all went to The Annual McCormack Christmas Party & Gifting Exchange. And it was awesome as well. Presents Given From Sally Mae = A big red bag of dressups and assesories for my little 5yr old cousin Sophie McCormack. She is tiny and she fit inside the gift bag that I gave her the dressups in - and it was adorable, and she glowed with childish glee when discovering the contents of the bag and it made my year. Presents Given To Sally Mae = A beautiful silk scarf from haleykate and Sophie that was hand-died/painted and it's a raindbow and flowery and so, so beautiful - thanks kate and sophie! And also a beautiful sweater from Alex McCormack that came complete with two pairs of socks and a super cute little scotty-terrior broche. Thanks Alex! Totally awesome time together with the family. And after the gifting exchange I gave my whole extended family a special surprise, I played them my new hit 'Bah-Humbug' and it was hilarious - half of them were laughing and half of them were looking at each other like: "um, dude--- she's lost it again" Mwahahaha. it was awesome. Then I showed them all my newly aquired skillz of playing harmonica and guitar AT THE SAME TIME with my new song "Lights, Camera, Action" another tongue in cheek song - and again - half of them got it and half of them thought I was a lunitic... but thats the great part about family - they don't have to like it that you're related, they just have to love you. :) Such good times, such amazing good times.

<3,
Sally Mae

P.S. - super excited about The Solstice Jam Sessions this Thursday! Those musicians that have been invited and are reading this should RSVP so I know how much snacks/drinks to provide and space to clear out. And you'll need directions too, you crazies! <3
