Whoosh, today was hot!
Hi kids. I'm babysitting for a family I haven't sat for in well over a year and I wish I was here more often, because these two are just so ridiculously well behaved that I couldn't even start to believe it. The little lambs are in bed now, so I hopped on their dad's computer (with his permission, of course) to do an update. Well, thank you all for your concern about my auntie. As of the moment, she is kind of okay. They've done a handful of surgeries on her in the past week and she is indeed still sick as a dog, but as of now she is stable. They repaired the hole in her heart but she is still bleeding out her mouth and suffering from serious pneumonia on top of all that. Not to mention the fact that she has rapidly progressing leukemia. She is really quite the mess. I hope to visit her this weekend. This week *flew* by. Work is still fabulous, I have gotten so attached to the kids. They love me and hug me and climb all over me, it's great. The only really "meh" part of the job is changing a tremendous amount of diapers throughout the day, but other than that it's dandy. I mean, it's not like I'm not used to changing diapers, I must have changed millions since I started taking care of kids. It's just a lot, that's all. But a truly fantastic job. Plus I got paid today, woot!
Well, my baby brother graduates from high school tomorrow...I can't even begin to wrap my head around that one. My six-foot-three, 220-pound, 18-year-old "little" brother...jeesh. It will be so wonderful to see him walk tomorrow morning. He won the award for drama yesterday at the school's awards ceremony and got a whistling, screaming round of applause. :) I am so proud of him. I'm going to have the hardest time when he goes to college... anyway. Two nights ago Tabi colored my hair a delicious combination of screaming cherry red, burgundy violet, and copper brown. We sectioned it off and did each piece a different color. I absolutely love it!!! I needed to be a redhead again. And Tabi is one, too! She ditched the blonde for a beautiful, rich burgundy. It's gorgeous. Huzzah! I think I found the tattoo parlour I'm going to use for my seahorse tat. It's in Uxbridge. I think I'll check it out this weekend and if I like what I see, I'll make an appointment.
Well, that's about all that's new with me. Oh yeah, I'm half-way through a pretty large painting. I bought the biggest canvas I could afford at A.C. Whore and I've been painting away a bit here and a bit there all week. Feels AWESOME to be making art again.
