Sacrifice Of Jesus Christ Fulfills The Intent In Hindu Vedas:

Hi Everyone,

I've been wanting to do this for sometime since there a lot of people out there who have a hard time believing that Christianity is the only way to God.  From the partial  (his was just way too long to copy here) testimony below  we can see that all peoples (I'll be posting others) have indeed had their witness that Jesus is Saviour.  Hope you find it interesting and informative.  He has some sanskrit in there but I'm sure you'll get what he's trying to say.

My father worked in Ramachandrapuram and Peddapuram in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh during the years 1947 to 1951. While I was studying in the High Schools there, some of my classmates were coming to school from nearby villages. During a few festivals they invited me to their houses to spend a day with them. During those visits I saw cocks, he-goats and rams being sacrificed to the village deities. I could not appreciate or understand the significance of animal sacrifices and the rituals. During the years 1951 and 1952, animal sacrifices and pilgrims bathing in stale water were bothering me too much. I requested my father to explain the rituals, etc. My father explained by quoting from Vedas and the Bible: 1. Yagnovy Bhuvanasya Nabhi. Sacrifice is the important backbone of the world. 2. Sarvapapa Pariharo Rakthaprokshanamavasyam. Thadraktham Paramathmeva Punyadana Baliyagam. Blood sprinkling is necessary for cleansing of sins. This blood is the result of God Himself offering His own blood through a sacrifice. 3. Prajapathirdevebhyam Athmanam Yagnam Kruthva Prayaschittaha. God offered Himself as the sacrifice for atonement of sins of the world. 4. Prajapathiryagnaha. God Himself was the sacrifice. 5. Yagnovaa Avathi Thasya Chaya Kriyathe. Sacrifices being practiced are the shadow of the Supreme Sacrifice. 6. Nakarmana Manushtanairna Danasthapasavya Kaivalyam Labhathe Marthyah. Cleansing of sins is not possible by baths, pilgrimages, giving dana or by following dharma. Then my father made me read the following passages from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah 53 Chapter verses 5 to 12 from the Holy Bible: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgement: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Then he showed me the similarity of what the Vedas said and what the Bible says, namely, 1) without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins, 2) sacrifice is essential for remission of sins and 3) God Himself offered His Body for the sacrifice to atone for the sins of all of us. Then my father quoted more slokas from the Vedas and verses from the Bible to prove that the “Paramathmeva Punyadana Baliyagam” and “Prajapathiryagnah” have been fulfilled in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ only. My father also quoted slokas which say that after the yagnapasu is slain, it must be brought back to life and that flesh of the yagnapasu is to be eaten by the performers of the yagna. My father read verses from the Bible Gospel according to St. Matthew, Chapter 26, verses 26 to 28: “ And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and break it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, ‘ take eat; this is my body.’ And he took the cup, and gave it to them, saying, ‘ Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for remission of sins.” My father read verse 19 from Chapter 22 from the Gospel according to St. Luke; “ And he took bread, and break it , and gave unto them, saying, ‘ this is my body which is given for you; this do in remembrance of me.’ Likewise also the cup after supper, saying ‘ This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.’” Thus, my questions were fully answered by my father and I was enlightened. But I was not a Christian at heart. In the presence of my parents I was pretending to be a Christian, but once in the midst of my friends I was not a Christian! My mother took my sister and me to Christian meetings conducted in April 1953 by the late Mr. G. R. Lorn, a godly man. During the course of the meetings I was convicted of my sins. I knelt down to pray alone. One after the other, the sins I committed began to appear before my eyes! I began to weep inconsolably. I began to pray fervently to Jesus Christ to forgive my sins. I told Him in prayer that because of my sins, I also took part in His crucifixion. I prayed him to pity me and to cleanse me from all my sins. After I confessed all my sins, immense joy came into my heart and I saw a verse from the Bible - “ Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a new heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.” These verses are from the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel, Chapter 36, verses 25 to 28 in the Bible. Then and there I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and became a Christian at heart. I am saved from hell by the grace of God only. Dear readers, I take great pleasure in sharing the love of God that saved me from sin and gave me eternal life. Please read the Bible yourself and test the words of Jesus Christ. I pray God to show you His grace and save you also. M. N. P. Hyderabad, India.
