how can you trust someone you know cant' trust you?

Have you ever had that feeling when you read something about the past, an event, let's say, and you know you've been there?
For example, Jack Kerouac wrote a good many haiku about/on the harbor in Northport, NY.  I have spent a good amount of time here, before and after I was aware of Kerouac.
And mostly, I'm reading a novel by Kerouac and he discusses events on a ship in the WWII era leaving Boston harbor.  I've been to this location.  I was lost here, supposed to be meeting a deadline, unable to contact anyone and it was raining.  I had a panicky feeling at Boston harbor.
It's just odd when other people experience places differently than you do in another time.  If you go to the same place for vacation as someone else and experience it differently, that's one thing, but experiencing the same place decades apart, this is another altogether.

I'm more excited about Friday than I have ever been excited for something before.
I hope you'll all come camping, hiking, bbqing, bonfire and merrymaking at Pilar's this weekend.

If not, well, I'll have a good time anyway.
