In an effort to stop eating out so much and save some money I have been actually cooking dinner. I find it difficult to come up with meals that will be a) healthy b) my family will eat. So I want to start writing down what we have for dinner and how it turns out. Keeping track of what we eat and the reactions will help me come-up with meal plans that will please everyone.
So I'll start with last nights dinner.

Hamburgers
used ground sirloin I got on sale from Harris Teeter. Grated up half an onion into the meat and put in some Worcestershire sauce. Served with American cheese and turkey bacon on buns. (Gavin ate his plain without a bun)
Cole Slaw
used a bag of finely shredded cabbage. mixed cider vinegar, mayo and truvia.
Cody and I ate this. Next time I'll add some carrots.
Sauteed Veggies
sauteed summer squash, onion, mushrooms, green bell pepper and red bell pepper in olive oil with a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
only I ate these and they were yummy
Cherry Cobbler
made a cobbler with fresh cherries. Used extra cinnamon. kids didn't like the cherries. Cody and I loved it.
