Dying must have made him insane. He was hearing things. He was hearing Seimei. A harsher sob came from his mouth. It wasn't fair! Wasn't being murdered enough? Wasn't it enough pain to go through? He had harmed the old Ritsuka's body. He had caused the old Ritsuka to go through death only to be revived again.

And now. Now he was being haunted by Seimei.

And it was such a lucid delusion. He could feel Seimei's warmth surround him. He could smell him, clean and... and just Seimei. Ritsuka could even feel his breath on his ear and the calm he always had around Seimei. But Seimei wasn't there. Seimei couldn't be there. The Network would have said something.

"N-No... No please no more!" he sobbed, curling in tighter on himself. "S-Seimei's no-not here. You-You aren't him. You're a bad dream. So pl-please go away."

"Mmm, Ritsuka," Seimei sighed, placing loving kisses along Ritsuka's jawline, gently drawing his precious brother into his arms and laying him against his chest. "Ritsuka, I am not a nightmare," he said reassuringly, "I love you. I punished him, Ritsuka, for taking you away from me. He's gone - he will never hurt you again. Ritsuka... I love you. Look at me. Do you love me?"

As he was being moved he let out a loud gasp at the pain running down his body. He was afraid to open his eyes though. If he opened them and Seimei wasn't there... he really would be insane then. But he could hear Seimei, could feel him. He shivered and took in a shaky breath. Slowly he opened his eyes. Swollen, red-rimmed purple eyes looked at Seimei and a sob left his lips.

"Seimei!" he cried out. He clung onto his shirt and started to weep. Seimei was here. Seimei was here and holding him. "I didn't do anything Seimei! I didn't do anything to him!" he sobbed. He didn't register Seimei's words, too caught up in Seimei's actual presence. He was unaware that Seimei had punished Grell. "Seimei... Seimei it was h-horrible! I-I can still feel it! I can still hear him laughing!"
