What: Riku seeing kairi after the Heartless have gone away...and since Sora went away too.
When: May 19
Where: Outside the studio apartment.
Warnings: Angssstttt, possibility of crying and..that's it.

The silver haired teen made his way to were Kairi was staying, slow in his movements. He was still in slight pain from fighting against Anti, but he pushed it away. He had to see Kairi, she was probably feeling Sora's loss worse than anyone else...

Including him.

He knocked on the door when he made it there, pausing for a second before hand. He had said he had wanted to see her...was it the same for Kairi?

Kairi had been sitting on the sofa of the messy apartment. The heartless probably had been rummaging through ever drawer and cabinet in search of hearts to eat. She pulled out her 1337pod from her pocket seeing the message left there by Namine. A ghost of a smile came on her lips, she could stay with her Nobody for a while. At least she still had someone on the Island she could turn too. There was always Roxas and Axel, but she didn't want to bother them. She wanted to be with someone who knew her and who better than Namine?

The auburn girl was getting ready to pack up a few things when her conscious reminded her she was waiting for Riku to come around. She still had no idea how she would react to seeing him after... After he broke his promise. I understand he...he didn't want to take me. But he could've at least taken Sora... She curled her hand into a fist at the thought of the smiling brunette boy whom she cared about so much. A knock on the door jarred her out of her thoughts. Swallowing a lump in her throat she got up

He felt...horrible about what he had done, but he had to of stayed away from them, the both of them. Everyone on the island. A heartless with a keyblade... A heartless with close to no control over it's actions, even though he tried and tried, was a dangerous thing. "Kairi," The other breathed, relieved to see her, to be able to feel happy when he saw her.

But he looks away as well, blue eyes distant. "I'm...sorry. If I was here Sora might of not--"

Might of not disappeared? He didn't know what to say, or what had happened to the other in the first place.

Break out the tissues.

What could she possibly say to that? Riku was apologizing but there was nothing she could say to him in response. Silence settled between the two as Kairi had her hands behind her back, holding onto the doorknob. Funny...Riku was always the first to go with Sora chasing after him... The thought drifted through her head as she inhaled a shaky breath.

"It's okay..." she replied, continuing to avert her gaze. "Sora...he probably got summoned to save another world. He'll be fine...." she continued, blinking back tears. It wasn't fair. They were reunited for a short period of time only to have fate, or destiny rip them away from each. Still, what could they do? All Kairi could do was cry about it, accept it then move on.

"I'm guessing you're going to go after him, right?" she asked biting her tongue from saying more as she tightened her grip on the doorknob. That's what you're good at. Leaving me behind... That was the most logical thing to do. Leave her behind so he could go find Sora and bring him back.

And as bad as it sounded, he wanted to leave to find Sora, chase after him to help like he always had. But-"I can't." He murmured, "There is no way to go after him."

No heart of the world for him to portal though, and...and Kairi was here, he couldn't just leave her like this. Last time he had done so... "It wouldn't be fair to you either." He felt the same as she did. They had been apart for so long and now this had happened.

He had missed her, he had missed them both. But Sora would be happy no matter what you thew at him. Kairi...

"I'm sure you'll find a way to go after him, you always do." She replied almost too instantly. There was an underlining tone of anger in that sentence. Riku always found a way to go after what he wanted. Why should this time be any different? Because she was here? Yeah I'm here, safe and sound. Nothing to fear... She thought, clenching the door knob tighter.

A bitter smile came upon her lips hearing his next sentence. Not fair to her? When was something ever fair to her? "I'm used to it," she replied, closing the door behind her. Forget about getting clothes she could borrow something of Namine's or buy something else to wear.

She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand before they fell on her face. "Is...is there anything else you want to talk about?" she asked, finding it more difficult to keep herself together before reaching Namine's place.
