There was nothing to do. The Armor Magician was bored out of his mind, so he'd wandered into town, happening on the Book Bin. Ever the literary fanatic, he'd happily settled himself in a chair, with The Book of the Law propped on one knee. Truthfully, he was irritated; he'd made very few contacts, and the one he really wanted to keep was now out of the question. It would have been nice to have a partner agai- Well, really, Isaak had never been paired with anyone, and had somewhat anticipated the mischief at hand. Now, all he could really do was wait; it was really unnerving to not have the constant bickering of his Orden in the background, no annoying whine of the Marionettenspieler, no calm, spine-chilling morbid orders.
He almost wanted to return to school.
Not for the education, he knew enough to satisfy himself. A fleeting thought crossed his mind, but he angrily brushed it off - no room for sentimentality. Thoughts ran into thoughts, and of course, he came back to his original irritation. Aquaintances became the Orden, that became the Vatican, that became the University, that became aquaintances again.
Crowley's words were running together now with his thoughts, and the mage slammed the book shut, opting for a very large set of cards on a tucked-away shelf.
Not that he really believed in magic.
He just liked the thought of somethign else running his life.

What a ridiculous thought, he mused, as he spread the thick cards in a spiral, atop the table before him.

open, isaak
