At least it isn't raining men (yet)

Who: Comm. Riker, Wall-E, and Roy Mustang
When: As the party disperses
Where: En route to the apartments
What: In which Riker and Wall-E have the same idea, Roy has some chocolate, and hilarity ensues (or something like that).

Abandoned by the two lovelies he'd been chatting up with, Commander Riker swirled the still largely untouched punch in his hand, watching the party slowly disperse. He walked back over to one of the long buffet tables to set his glass down, unsure what else to do with it, and was about to follow the crowd out when a thought occurred.

Scattered amongst the largely devoured snacks were small brightly-colored plastic bags. He picked one up and emptied a couple of plastic toys, a handful of candy and a pencil back onto the table.

In a place like this, it might be nice to have something to carry things in.

He followed a couple of other stragglers out into the daylight. Only now--- the clouds were red.

On the whole, that fact by itself wasn't that strange. Riker knew there were planets with any number of colors of sky, and stranger things, but still, what was happening to the town now was...new.

It was raining chocolate. He reached up his hand automatically to touch one, to see if they were solid - because just as each one would have touched the ground, it vanished. As he brought his hand up, though, he noticed that - somehow - he already had something in it. It was a small card key, the kind they used to unlock doors with when doors used to lock. The 1337-communicator-thing at his hip bleeped at him again, and he picked it up.

A room, to go with the key.

He tucked the key in with the communicator and reached up for another piece of chocolate. White. Well, not his favorite, but he probably shouldn't be eating strange food falling out of the sky.

He popped it in his mouth anyway. After Klingon food, he didn't much worry about what he put in his stomach. And after all, the food so far hadn't killed anybody.

It wasn't until he was swallowing it that he noticed the few others around acting a little...odd.

Perhaps now would be a good time to get to the room on the key. No guarantee that would be a safe place either, but so far, this place had been mostly benign. So far.

He walked towards the location on the 1337-comm, plucking chocolates out of the air and sticking them absent-mindedly into his little bag.

You never knew what might come in handy later.

((OOC: OMG, this is what happens when you wait too long and have to respond to two events at once, haha.))
