ROUND ONE salkia_mods February 16 2011, 16:13:05 UTC

The Durian is a large fruit with a potent taste, but it's not as bad as some things could be. Are you going to be able to handle it?

The smell was horrendous. It would have been hard to ignore even if Kaiba was at 100%, but it was absolutely excrutiating now. He really should have been out ripping apart Jounouchi's belongings, not playing along with the girl's games. But Kaiba had thrown himself into this, and he was not going to back out of seeing this through.

Even if just staring at the fruit made his stomach twist. He couldn't eat much at one time when it was toast, much less this.

She actually had dealt with quite nasty things as spell ingredients, so something like these weren't too efficient against her. Nonetheless, the spell was quite pungent. "Just hold your breath and take small bites, it shouldn't be too bad.... will we have to eat all of it?"

"Is there a reason you're talking to me?" Kaiba replied, not even looking down at the girl who seemingly had come up next to him while he was focusing on the durian. The last thing he needed was some fool trying to 'help'.

"Go chatter at someone who might actually care."

"Oh, no I was simply talking to myself. Like I care if you fail the challenge."

"Talking to yourself with a question. I would have adjusted that to talking to the air or the insects if I were you. It at least would have been a tiny bit more convincing," he replied dryly.

To Sesshomaru's senses, the strong odor of almonds was almost too much to bear. However, he was not about to be defeated by something so simple as the odor of food.

He glared at the food, almost daring it to mock him.

Inuyasha's not so good with hiding how he's feeling. He has to cover his nose and move away from the food.

"What is that thing??"

Sesshomaru turned to the half-demon. He must be his opponent for this round. Taking some of the fruit in hand, he said, "It is called Durian." With several sharp bites, Sesshomaru ate the portion, stunned by the heavy sweetness. Not revealing anything, he said, "Interesting."

Sesshomaru seemed to know everything. Just like all older brothers should. Older brother's also tend to influence younger brother's in most cases. Then again these two are a weird sibling pair in terms of brotherly love.

No way he's losing out to his brother...!

"I'm not letting you beat me...!" Inuyasha grabs one of the Durian and gobbles it in one bite chewing.

It was so ... so sweet... It's not bad tasting, but it's so sweet, it's making his mouth numb to taste.

"G-guh... h-ha... it was nothing...!" he'll need to wash the sweetness out if he ever wants to taste again. So potent.

Brotherly love? More like sibling rivalry in which one sibling wants to kill the other. Sesshomaru may not know everything, but he knew how to hide his ignorance--unlike his brother.

Sesshomaru glared at InuYasha.

"You have horrible eating habits." He took another portion and ate it the same way. He gave no outward reaction, but Sesshomaru discovered it wasn't as bad the second time.

Horrible eating habits? Sesshomaru just caught him on a day he doesn't have a fork. Kagome taught him manors after all! ... he just doesn't use them.

He gives a small growl returning the starish glare.

"Yours doesn't look too fancy either!" He grabs another one and stuffs it in his mouth once again. Hmmm... well with numb taste buds, the taste died down. Still wasn't as good as instant noodles though.

InuYasha being able to eat neatly with a fork? Sesshomaru wouldn't believe it--even if he saw it.

"At least I manage to eat my food, not wear it," Sesshomaru said, eating his final portion calmly.

Hey hey hey! That's uncalled for. At least that's what he thinks. He wipes some off his mouth.

"Talk all you want! I'm not gonna lose to you!" He also finishes his final portion.

Well, Kisshu was used to bad living conditins. Technically, but almost a year in Salkia had almost spoiler him. Not enough to keep him from eating the Durians.
Even though the face he's making tells you that he isn't enjoying it at all.
