There were a lot of strange people who appeared on Salkia Island. Many had powers unheard of in Ken's world, some had powerful weapons, a few had dangerous personalities. But he had never seen anyone wearing quite an outfit in the snow.

"Hey, are you okay?" he called, carefully stepping off the path and into the snow towards the forest.

"I'm fine," Warden said in reply, a little sarcastically. He did fall pretty far down, after all. "Just fine."

He straightened his bow-tie and attempted to spruce up his outfit, not wanting to look too horrible. It wasn't too tattered, maybe he could mend it later...

The boy frowned.

"You must be new," he said to himself quietly. He couldn't recall ever seeing this man before. With that outfit, he would have been noticed.

"Can I show you into town? It's not a good idea to stay out here alone for very long."

Warden wondered where they could possibly be. He was sure that they weren't far from the island... Maybe this kid could tell him where he was.

"Okay, you can t-" He reached for his hat to tip it in thanks, and noticed that it had fallen in the snow. He bent over to pick it up and tipped it to Ken, before placing it on his head.

"...Take me into town." He finished, adjusting the hat.

"It's not far," Ken said, his tone a little lighter after the odd man tipped his hat to him. The newcomer looked okay at least. He didn't seem as panicked as some of the others who came, which was a very good thing. It would make the transition a little easier.

"You just got here, right?" he said, trying to be as friendly as he could as he turned toward the town. "My name's Ichijouji Ken. You're on Salkia Island."

Warden pulled his cane out of his hammerspace sleeve. He would probably need it, seeing as he was still pretty beat up from the fall. And he always has to look his best.

"I'm the Warden." He reached his hand out with a toothy grin.

Wait, an island? Maybe "Salkia" wasn't far from Superjail! He would probably ask Ken later.

The sudden cane was a bit out of the ordinary, but nothing too startling. At least the stranger wasn't setting buildings on fire yet. Ken would take it as an improvement.

He reached out to take the the man's hand briefly. "The Warden," Ken repeated, "like a warden of a prison?"

He quickly shook the boy's hand, his grin now a little wider.

"Why yes," He replied. "I run only the greatest prison in the world..."

Ken blinked again. Okay....that was a little odd. Still, he wasn't like Oikawa and his unblinking stare yet. When he started trying to get the black seed out of the back of his neck, then Ken might worry.

"Ah...well...um, you're kind of trapped on this Island now," the boy said, his voice a little hesitant. "So I hope someone else can run it for a while..."

"What?!" Well, that ruined the mood. "But Superjail can't run without me!"

He grabbed Ken by his shoulders, shaking him a little. "This is crazy! Who would bring me here?!" It couldn't have been the Time Police again... could it? ...No, that was ridiculous. Why would they put him on some strange island?

Ken froze, almost panicking when he was grabbed. The man moved too fast for him to try and pull away.

"I...we don't know!" he stammered quickly, his arms jerking up in a weak attempt to free himself. "I mean, there's this girl who's a few years older than me who says she runs this island, but we don't really know how or why..."

The boy stumbled back, his eyes wide. This man was...forceful, to say the least.

"Well.." he stammered, "she hasn't told us why, other than asking us if we're having fun. And, um, doing things to us."

"Well.." Ken said, slowly drawing off. It was a good question. She just did things, with no rhyme or reason to it. Everything she had already done should have been impossible. How could you say what she could do under those conditions?

"She...um...changes the Island and our, um, bodies. She's turned us colors and given us wings before."

Interesting... You've piqued his interest, Ken.

"Really now? Changing colors?" He put an arm around Ken's neck and pulled him close. Personal space, what's that?

"Maybe this kid isn't so bad after all." Well, as long as she didn't too anything too terrible to him.

He started walking, his arm still around the boy, but not too tight. "Please, tell me more!"
