Backdated but cookie making time~

Jou had been home when Usagi returned from work, shuffling through his deck and thinking up potential strategies to use for later duels. He hadn't heard her come in, but there was no way he could have missed the smell of cookie dough.

This summoned the tall teen from his room and he peeked into the kitchen. There was always time in life for cookies, especially when friends were involved. "Are you bakin'?" He asked with a grin.

Blue eyes blinked when she saw Jou peeking into the kitchen. She smiled and nodded at him.

"Yup! Peanut butter cookies and peanut butter and chocolate cookies. Though...I'm still debating on that..." should she make them all peanut butter or should they all have chocolate? It really was a tough call to make.

"You can help me if you like. Yuugi-kun is supposed to be over soon to help."

"Those sound really good!" Cookies sounded so delicious right now, especially Usagi's cookies. And news that his best friend would be over shortly to help out made it even better. His day had now become infinitely amazing. "Put chocolate in all'a them. You can never go wrong with chocolate."

He fully entered the kitchen and rolled up his long sleeves so that he could wash his hands. "I'd love to help you guys. When'll Yuug be here?"

Once his shift ended, Yuugi ran over like a crazy person. Well, a crazy person with short legs, anyway. He was late, and he didn't want to keep either Usagi or Jounouchi waiting for him.

Of course, he was out of shape still, even though his training sessions with Cissnei were helping him bit by bit. He reached Usagi's door and nearly collapsed against the doorframe, though he did manage to knock three times before he did.

"Usagi! Jounouchi-kun!" Huffhuff. "It's me!"

Hearing the knocks, he raised an eyebrow. Yuugi sounded like he was dying or something. "I'll get 'im!"

He walked through the apartment and unlocked the door, but left the chain connected to the frame in place so that Yuugi wouldn't be able to open the door completely. Mockingly, he smirked to the tiny duelist. "Took ya long enough."

"Soon, hopefully." she replied just as the door was knocked. While Usagi wanted to get the door, Jou beat her to it. Oh well, she would see Yuugi soon enough. Though..she wanted to kiss him on the cheek when he got here...but she could do that later...and not when Jou was there.

"Alright, but don't take too long!" she teased, rolling out more dough.

Yuugi was a bit surprised to feel the door budge, but it didn't move enough to knock him on his face. Instead, he smiled up at Jou when he opened the door.. but it faltered with confusion when he saw the chain.

"I'm sorry, Jounouchi-kun, I tried to get out of work earlier!" He slumped a bit with the apology, but he managed a small smile back. "I thought you had some patience."

A polite teasing in return.

He laughed and poked Yuugi's forehead through the gap in the door. "Say what'cha want, Yuugi. I'm the one that says when this door opens."

Oh, it had been too long since he'd tormented his best buddy. "What's the magic password?"

Yuugi blinks, eyes crossing a bit as he followed the finger poking his forehead. He then glanced at Jounouchi and pouted a little. Yeah, he knew where this was going.

Alright.. thinking..

"...please?" It was a start, at least.

Silly Yuugi, your pouty faces are not super effective when it comes to Jounouchi's tormenting something about friendship~ playful teasing.

"No dice," he smirked and folded his arms across his chest. He wasn't going to let him off easy.
