Brooke quickly grabbed a slice of tiramasu, ignoring the paint on his fingers, and ate it messily while taking a step back from his work in progress to look at it carefully. His brief sketch had been finished quickly, as he leaped into the actual painting itself without bothering to check with Mr Vargas. It was somewhat unique in that other than a few brief outlines, Brooke seemed to have been relying more on his fingers than the brush to paint and that he had stuck to a strictly earth-y colour range accompanied with black and white paint for the details.

It wasn't close to finished yet, of course, but Brooke smirked proudly at it nonetheless.

Feliciano watched as Brooke approached and grabbed a piece while smearing paint on a piece that he didn't take. He smiled slightly and followed the boy back to where his master piece was and laughed as he got tiramasu everywhere.

Not walking around and remaining next to it, he smiled at Brook. He knew better then to look at an artists work before they were finished. He caught the smirk and realized that he would be very happy with this piece.

"Hello Brooke! What are you working on?"

"Painting," Brooke mumbled, swallowing the last of his tiramasu and picking up a brush. He dipped the top end in white paint and started carefully making small dots, very close together, in a line. He was fairly indifferent to whether or not Feliciano looked at the work in progress, already convinced it was brilliant.

Feliciano laughed at him. "Yes Brooke I can see that" he said as he watched his young student concentrate. "Can I look?"

Brooke stepped back again, giving his teacher plenty of room to look. "If ya want, mate, go ahead." The piece was still mainly background and patterns, there was an empty space near the bottom right hand corner for the portrait to go with the dot patterns seeming to lead outwards from that space.

Feliciano came around and stared at his painting. The background was impressive and the dot pattern was complicated, not to mention time consuming.

"Brooke! This is outstanding! Who is your portrait going to be of?" He asked as he stared at the painting.

Unknown to Brooke, he has submitted a picture of his to the annual art award and he was waiting for the results.

I have no idea, pick a student at your will.

"Ah, ta, mate! It's, um-" Brooke gestured to his sketchpad, where a pencil drawing of his supposed subject matter was.

He smiled and put a hand on Brooke's shoulder.

"Its outstanding Brooke! Its definitely Namine!" He said with excitement as he looked at the pencil drawing of the young woman.
