If you were watching the fight, you'd have seen the black nothingness that surrounded the two and took them from your sight. It had been a long while until those shadows finally seemed to lift. Atem stood shakily, bloodied and shredded. He had cuts all over his arms, hands and face, some of his clothes much the same way

Suzaku bit his lip, his green eyes narrowed as he kept everything bottled up. After everything was said and done, the weight of what had happened became more tangible. He didn't wish such a terrible fate upon Usagi...in a way, it was a painful reminder of what Lelouch had been forced to do before.

He swallowed thickly and then nodded.

"We should. He's been through enough today."

"I know...it's just that it's still unfortunate all the same," Suzaku said. Death -even temporary death - was still a heavy and painful price to pay. He did not have any ill feelings towards Atem. It was something he would have avoided if he could have.

"It's hard to tell like this but yes, we should do so quickly."

"Right. It is painful to have that sort of guilt," Suzaku said before turning his attention over to the next task.

"I think we should check. If he does, then we at least need supplies," Suzaku said.

"Alright."

"Alright," Suzaku said as he zipped down the line and then went to carefully pick Atem up into his arms. The other had been cut by his opponents' attacks and the bleeding was not letting up. He stood and then walked quickly into the clinic, hoping that he did not disturb Atem's wounds. The smell of blood was familiar but affected him the same each time.

"Roger," Suzaku said, putting Atem on a clean bed and then took out a switchblade knife he always had on him. He couldn't risk disturbing the wounds any further so he cut away Atem's outerwear. He was finishing the process when Lelouch returned with the supplies.
