What: As per Ishida's word, she was told that Szayel would want to set up a laboratory. She remembering hearing someone having a lab on Salkia, so Rukia goes to find out some information.

Rukia was okay with being hated. But she was also okay with people waiting for her. For a moment she thought about Byakuya and the steps he would take. Pride. It was ever so important to him, so much so, that at times, it made him seem like a villain.

Cutting off connections (temporarily), Rukia felt as if she had a clear conscious now. No connections to affect her decisions. She left all the items behind (even Byakuya's that she received from the island) and walked out the door of her apartment.
The shinigami made her way to the community center. She knew there was a lab set up already (although not knowing who it belonged to). According to Ishida, Szayel would come here to set up one. But why set up one when there was one in place? The girl walked into the place, Shirayuki at her side. She looked around but there didn't seem to be anyone in the laboratory? Was it here just for looks? The place definitely gave off a Mayuri vibe and she could feel that unexplained chill run down her spine.
Either way, Rukia moved on, investigating the lab, seeing if she could find any clues.
