Because of what happened to Ichigo and what Renji told her, she was sensitive to his reiatsu now. Of course, the group had all intentions of meeting but it seemed that well, doing so would take some time. The slightest spike in the Espada's reiatsu and she knew he was there.

She was alone in this. Both Neji and Renji turned her back to her. The others, well they planned to meet, but now wasn't the time. Of course, Rukia was going to take precautions. She knew how dangerous he could be and wasn't going to take any reckless chances. Although, going alone might have been one. But perhaps she was the most level headed out out of the group to do something like this. But then again, she wasn't in her right mind either.

The shingami slipped out her home and made her way towards Szayel. She masked her own reiatsu, observing him from a good distance so she wouldn't be detected.

Undetected? Foolish shinigami, of course Szayel knew you were there, following him. He lured her along down the street, away from the dwindling lights... before a burst of static heralded his disappearance, his reiatsu suddenly vanishing along with him.

What? Where had he gone? She made her reiatsu nonexistent, but he knew she was here. Fine.

Sode no Shirayuki didn't leave her side as she jumped down onto a light post. The one she landed on wasn't work, but the moon's light was enough to illuminate what was around her. In the mean time, she waited, all senses open.

For a moment, something brushed against the back of her neck, followed by a faint whisper of, "Hello, shinigami," before it vanished entirely.

Her eyes widened before she turned around. Nothing.

Damn. He was messing with her.

She had all the reason to stay calm. Rukia had no intention to fight. But if she had to defend herself, she would.

"I'm only here to talk. Nothing else."

Szayel's reiatsu suddenly flared to life behind her, standing on the air like he was standing on the street. His arms were folded over his chest, an amused smirk on his face.

"Really... you're not just going to run in, sword swing like that fool?" he asked, voice mocking.

"Leave Ichigo out of this," the shinigami said sternly. "You see I'm the only one here." Sure, it wasn't wise of Ichigo to do that, but then again, Rukia wasn't around to tell him otherwise.

"So I see," Szayel replied idly, walking around her, waving his hand dismissively. He paused a moment, turning toward her. "I have heard that there is something you wish to discuss with me, shinigami."

"I am not a fool," Szayel began, before pausing for dramatic effect. "Miss Kuchiki. I knew very well that I was on a different world the moment I awoke here."

How he knew her name, she wasn't going to question. After all, she knew his. "I know the idea I am about to mention is far fetched and I know circumstances that happened may cause this to be difficult, but... There's no reason for us to fight here, not to mention that repeated deaths are meaningless."

"I am not saying we should get along," because there way NO WAY Rukia could. Not to mention it was taking a lot of her patience not to want to turn the Espada into an ice sculpture. "But at the very least, there's no reason to fight each other."
