America bounded with glee out his apartment door, stumbling down the stairs, the shoelaces of his untied sneakers flailing about while he sped with all his might. He managed to shove the LP into his jacket pocket, and cared not if it fell out and broke again. There were much more important things at hand! This was something that couldn't be put on hold, not even for a minute! It was exciting, he couldn't wait!
His Colt thumped against his thigh as he ran; he didn't go anywhere without it. As far as he was concerned, Charlie, a crude slang for Vietnam's soldiers, had followed him to Salkia and he had to protect both the island inhabitants and himself. So there it was, clipped to his jeans and covered by the long, white "I ♥ NY" T-shirt that he had grown fond of wearing since he found it for sale. Salkia had good taste, America really needed to meet the guy one of these days.
But never mind all that. Eager blue eyes set their lock on a particular black-haired nation, and with no sense of tactful approach, he ran right up behind him, secured his arms around the man's waist, and lifted Japan into the air in a tight bear-hug. "Japan!" he exclaimed, squeezing his Asian friend and spinning around. "You're here! You're really here!" America laughed.
This was the best Christmas present ever!
