While Neji was in the shower and preparing himself for their little outing, the red-head got ready himself. He wore the dark blue jeans and red button down top that he had acquired from the other. He laced up some deep brown shoes then ran his fingers through his hair and shook out his messy red locks grinning in the mirror.

He watched at the shorter male went and sat in the living room as he waited for him to be finished with his preparations.

"Ya ready? 'Cause I am" he said with a smile.

Staring down at his hands, Neji locked his fingers together then pulled them apart again, doing this a few times before glancing up when he heard the other male's voice.

He looked over and smiled lightly, bringing his hands up to tuck a few loose strands of hair behind his ears, moving to stand up afterwards. Part of him said to get a coat, but he brushed it aside and nodded quickly, stepping towards the door.

``I am,`` he replied, glancing back over his shoulder.

Lavi followed behind quickly, a cheerful grin plastered onto his face. "So what's the game plan?" he asked.

He threw an arm around the other's shoulder in a friendly manner. It was a gesture that he commonly practiced with everyone.

He reached out and tugged the door open, his grin widening ever so slightly. ``Well, I hope you don't mind sushi.``

Neji blinked when Lavi put his arm around his shoulders, his other hand coming up to touch the redhead's arm before he let out a small laugh. ``You sure seem excited,`` he commented quietly.

"Nah. I'm always up for somethin' new" he said with a chuckle. Because this certainly was new for him. He'd never agreed on going out on a date with someone so quickly before. But hey, this was all in good fun. And as the saying went 'Don't knock it until you try it'.

Another laugh escaped his mouth. "I'm always like this" He waited for the other to start heading out of the door as he removed his arm from his shoulder so Neji could walk.

``That's good.`` He waited until Lavi removed his arm before stepping out into the hallway, his hand eventually reaching back to take hold of the other male's wrist.

Bringing his other hand up, he pressed his fingers against his lips, thinking for a moment then leading the way to get them outside. ``I've noticed,`` he said with a smirk.

Green eye glanced down at the hand on his wrist. His smile grew in response to the open gesture.

He followed Neji outside. "So I've been meanin' to ask ya" he started. "Do ya like headbands a lot?" he asked as they walked to where ever Neji was leading them.

Carefully keeping hold of Lavi's wrist, he continued leading them through the building and down the street once they had gotten outside.

Neji lifted his other hand, touching the band around his head and nodding slowly. ``Yes, I suppose you could say that I do like them.``

Lavi continued to follow him and watched as he touched his headband. "Oh yeah? I like them, too. They keep my hair out of the way and they look pretty cool on me" he said nodding. "They look good on ya, too" he complimented with a grin.

His green eye darted around, yet again memorizing his surroundings to every little detail out of trained habit. His free hand slipped into the back pocket of his jeans as they walked.

Glancing back at Lavi, Neji lowered his hand from the headband and turned forwards once more to hide the light flush that was starting to creep across his cheeks again. ``Thank you, though . . I wear them for a different reason than you.``

He continued leading them forwards, stopping for only a moment to remember which way he was suppose to go before releasing the other's wrist when they reached the restaurant.

Lavi tilted his head slightly. "Yeah? What reason is that?" he asked curiously. Unless he was hiding a scar of some sort. "If ya don't mind my askin'" he added to be polite.

He looked up at the restaurant sign. He pulled the door open for his benefactor of the dinner and waited for the shorter male to go inside.

``Well . . `` He hesitated at the door, his hand raised to open it before he allowed it to drop back against his side, pale eyes averting downwards. ``I don't mind.``

When the door was opened, he glanced back up at the redhead and smiled ever so slightly, bowing his head then stepping into the building. ``I'll just have to show you sometime,`` he replied quickly.

Lavi nodded his head in return and stepped inside of the restaurant behind Neji. The red-head figured that he was, indeed, hiding something under the headband. It made him kind of happy that the other trusted him enough to want to show him.

He looked at the Japanese style place with a light smile across his face.The smell of boiling rice, noodles, and raw fish wafted to his nose. His stomach growled impatiently at the teasing scents.

Neji glanced over at the older male when he heard his stomach growl, a soft laugh escaping him as he took hold of Lavi's wrist again and led him after the waiter that was seating them.

He stopped near the seat and released Lavi's wrist to sit down, placing his hands in his lap for a moment. ``What do you want to drink, Lavi-san?``

Lavi sat down and leaned his elbows on the table putting a cheek on his hand. He looked at the menus that the waiter brought them. He looked at the drinks section. "Hmmm....I think I'll have the iced tea" he said nodding.

Once he had ordered his drink, he scanned through the many different kinds of Japanese foods. "What do ya recommend, Neji?" he asked.

He locked his hands together in his lap, glancing down at them then waiting until the waiter left before speaking again. ``Well,`` he paused, lifting his hand to press his fingers against his lips.

The younger picked up the menu and looked over it, setting it aside just as quickly. ``I usually have sushi and fruit, but the udon is good also.``
