Who: Szayel, Suzaku, Lelouch, and Ichigo (also posting order)
What: Szayel calls Suzaku over to discuss his discoveries.
Unfortunately...When: Afternoon, after people start reappearing.
Where: The Book Bin, since there... doesn't seem to be a library? :o
Warnings: The usual Szayel warnings; potential maiming, abuse, and otherwise nastiness.
(
The next act begins... )
He had sent a message to Lelouch previously about his whereabouts and then went on his way. From the sound of it, Szayel wanted to do a bit of research about potential people behind the disappearances and Lelouch might have had interest in that. Plus, it would be a good opportunity for Lelouch to get to know Szayel a little better and come to a more enlightened conclusion about him. Lelouch didn't trust him and neither did Suzaku but Suzaku was the one who was giving the pink-haired soul-eating man the benefit of the doubt.
He didn't see Szayel at first behind the stacks of books but eventually wandered over and gave a friendly wave.
"Hello, Szayel," he said, coming to finally addressing the man a little less formally. "Sorry I'm late. It looks like you got a large headstart."

It was time for the performance to begin once again.
"Thank you for coming," he replied graciously, before his eyes flicked over to the new stranger. "...though it would have been wise to inform me you were bringing a guest."
Oh well, the more casualties, the merrier.

"Szayel, this is my friend Lelouch Lamperouge. He is from my world and we've known each other for a long time. Lelouch, this is Szyael Aporro Granz. He is the guest that I have had over while he was searching for a place to stay."

The reiatsu. The unmistakable dark reiatsu that came from only the worst of his enemies. An Espada. Ichigo wasn't as alarmed as he could should have been, he could sense that this was no Grimmjow--or even worse, Ulquiorra.
The orange haired Shinigami wrote a quick note and plastered it to the front door before heading out in search of the source. He didn't even waste any time going into his Bankai form, he knew better then to think he could take on an Espada without it. In fact, Ichigo was a little bit worried inwardly....ever since he had returned from Hueco Mundo the second time, his hollow powers has disappeared.
As he drew nearer to the source, Ichigo did start to feel the worry ebb closer and closer. He was finding himself in the town, and not on the edge of the woods where new arrivals usually started. Which said to him that they had been fooled, and that this Espada had been hiding himself.
Ichigo found himself standing in front of the Book Bin, and he forced himself to shake off the unnerving gut feeling that something terrible was about to happen. It wasn't the time to panic, no. This could possibly be the source of everything that had been happening with the missing people, and it was important that Ichigo found out.
He pulled open the door quickly and darted inside, his zanpakuto in hand and ready. The sight before him caught him off guard however, as three men were standing around seemingly having a simple conversation. But none the less, this Espada had to be dealt with, no matter how nice he might have been playing it off nice to these two. One of the men Ichigo recognized as Lelouch, someone who he'd had a couple of brief conversations with. The pink haired man was most definitely his target, and Ichigo inwardly felt stupid for ever having believed that he hadn't killed that elf when they HAD talked.
Dark brown eyes set on Szayel as he walked closer, and Ichigo spoke, his voice a teetering mix between determined and alarmed.
"Lelouch...take your friend and get outta here now, this guy ain't who you two think he is!" Ichigo shot at the two unknowing men, never taking his eyes off of the Espada. This could not possibly end well, and Ichigo certainly didn't want them to end up casualties in the aftermath.

Kurosaki Ichigo.
"Yes, indeed," he began, continuing the conversation as if nothing had happened at all. He reached out, tapping one of the books before him. "Thanks to a young gentleman familiar with the situation, I learned that those that had disappeared had 'lost their hearts' thanks to individuals known as Heartless. There's quite a bit of data here on the subject, though in essence, they are creatures that steal the hearts of others. What's disturbing is that no such creatures have been reported on this island, which mea--"
He had entered the store while he was speaking, but Szayel made no move to do anything until Kurosaki interrupted him. Perfect; the obnoxious little orange berry was walking right into his carefully placed web.
Szayel turned his head, flashing an irritated look as he was interrupted... before he bolted up from his seat, fear splashed on his face as he backed away, hands going to his zanpakutō as he took a defensive step back.
"Shinigami..." he breathed, clutching at the hilt of his weapon.

The boy was yelling as if something was dangerous and then Szayel's single word caused him to freeze.
Shinigami. Was this Szayel's enemy? Suzaku had seen the boy a few times - as both his hair and his temperment were not easy to forget - but he hadn't imagined that he was anything like a god of death. He immediately stepped forward and stood sideways, putting up both his hands as if to hold the two forces back. He might not have trusted Szayel to the fullest extent but it did not mean he would automatically side with the opposite side either. He did, however, need the two to start trusting each other. The last thing they wanted here was a fight when things could have been resolved without weapons.
"Lower your weapons. There's no need to fight here. We can settle this calmly," he said firmly.

"They're right...let's take this outside, Espada." Ichigo said to Szayel before turning to head out. He didn't think of this as a mistake, he had enough faith in his reflexes that he could block if the Espada decided to attack while his back was turned.
Rukia and Ichigo had discussed offering truces to any of the enemies who may show up, but Szayel had hidden his reiatsu from them and that was more then enough to tell Ichigo that the Shinigami had been avoided. Which told him that that meant ill intentions were still abroad, and that a truce would be pointless to discuss. Not to mention the missing persons cases, it was all too fishy and quite frankly, Ichigo didn't care about what they had decided previously. Szayel had to be informed that violence against the people here would NOT be tolerated, and informing by force was something Ichigo considered himself to be good at.

"I don't have good intentions?" he responded, his voice low and emotional. "What of you, shinigami? How 'good' were your intentions when you invaded Las Noches? How 'good' were your intentions when you killed the others in the name of a woman that joined us willingly?!"

The orange haired teen disappeared only to reappear right in front of the Espada, his sword coming down from an overhead slash. Ichigo knew it would be blocked, underestimating Szayel's abilities would have been a bad idea all around.
"Inoue only went with to try to SAVE OUR WORLD!! Don't you DARE try to make me out to be the bad guy when your boss is tryin' t' destroy EVERYTHING!!!" Ichigo shouted during the swing of Zangetsu, and the blazing look in his eyes said that there definitely was no way of a truce now. Not that Szayel had wanted that in the first place.

"Gh... you... you know nothing!" he snapped, struggling to push Kurosaki off.

And then vanished.
Suzaku's eyes widened as he saw Ichigo suddenly reappear and started swinging his sword downward at Szayel who did not even have his weapon drawn. Just how was that even a fair fight?! He took action as he saw Szayel barely able to block the swing and then struggle against Ichigo's obviously more powerful attack.
Without a second thought, Suzaku dove at Szayel and pushed him out of the way of the sword's path while kicking Ichigo back. Since he was in immediate mortal danger while doing so, his "live" geass activated, forcing him to act superhumanly fast. The sword barely missed Suzaku himself, ripping through a good length of his coat.
"Stop this!"

With knowing that Suzaku was okay, Ichigo's mind went right back to the business at hand. He flicked his gaze sideways to Lelouch before quickly snapping it back to Szayel.
"Tch, ya want me to take this outside?! Fine!"
With that, Ichigo was clearing the distance between him and Szayel, shoving Suzaku out of his way to get there. He was pissed and at this point he didn't give a crap about whether or not he looked bad.
It happened in a flash, and Ichigo had Szayel lifted in the air by a hand wound tightly in the front of his jacket. He then drew back and threw the Espada as hard as he could, sending him flying through the store window. The orange haired teen was right on his tail after that, sword up and ready to meet with the pink haired Espada's, or so he expected.
