Kenpachi’s haori shifted slightly with the wind as he stared at the sudden change in his surroundings. There was a forest though between the trees the base of a mountain was easily visible; also his haori had been returned after he had tossed it aside after defeating Nnoitra. Staring at his Zanpakuto the shinigami was puzzled, Byakuya’s Bankai was not one to change the surroundings as Tosen’s had. Then again the later captain’s was only a small area and had robbed Kenpachi of three of his senses as well as the ability to sense spiritual energy. Letting out a disappointed ‘che’ Kenpachi resheathed his Zanpakuto disappointed in losing the change to compare himself with the sixth division captain. Walking in a random direction he had no clue where he was going but figured that direction was as good as any. Before he could take twenty steps though, there was the sound of a low growl from the area of trees behind him.
Kenpachi smiled laughing a little as he turned to face the creature that started making its way out from behind a tree. The thing walked on all four with blue leathery skin, not resembling a hollow or any of the arrancar that he had seen. As it charged him Kenpachi simply stood where he was not budging as the thing slammed against him and pinned him to a tree just a few feet away, though its teeth didn’t penetrate his skin; a small black device also fell from his haori hitting the ground. Pushing the monster back with one hand he laughed again, "Well whad do ya know that was almost a decent hit." As it pulled away and prepared to charge again Kenpachi drew his Zanpakuto out once more, staring at the creature. "I barely felt a thing."
Charging again Kenpachi swung his Zanpakuto hitting the creature’s face and front, leaving a small cut into its hide. Swinging the blade down beside him as his bells shifted Kenpachi grabbed the upper part of his arm flexing it. It seemed that the creature had thick skin, though as it charged him for the third time Kenpachi managed to cut the head off cleanly as it rolled several feet away. Staring down at the corpse Kenpachi swung his sword to clean it off. "Tch, what a waste of time." Then noticing a beep and seeing the device Kenpachi walks over and picks it up, "Eh? What the hell is this thing?"
