Anti sat in Alucard's lap... well curled up in it was more accurate. He slept, something that kept him apart from most of his heartless brethren. He was asleep near the darkest one who was lounging in the chair. Sometimes a tendril of darkness would move to wrap around a wrist or ankle. It was a bit like feeding though not nearly as brutal. Alucard's darkness called to every fiber of Anti's being. It... was soothing. And while Anti couldn't feel emotions, he was able to know the difference between being calm and being stressed. All basic animal creatures knew that feeling.

And Alucard calmed his body.

Heartless followed the most powerful darkness for a reason. They did not care if they died (something again that set them apart from normal creatures). But following the darkest one usually meant the darkest one would know to feed them. While Heartless fed on hearts, they were capable of surviving on darkness. When hearts became scarce, they survived on their master. It was why they always followed the darkest one. The darkest one would be able to handle their endless hunger. And if they devoured their current master, then they did not care and simply moved on to the next until a heart could be found.

Anti fed on the hearts of the monsters and when starvation truly took over, the hearts of humans. Likewise, his brethren fed on the hearts of monsters and humans alike (they were far less concerned about the repercussions). But when he was not feeding, simply being calmed by Alucard's darkness was like a constant feeling of being sated.
