Double D had noticed Timothy being rather restless... and by suggestion of the pokedex... he decided to take his Caterpie out for a walk. He put a make-shift leash around the creature... heaven forbid he loses him and Timothy finds himself in the midst of monsters. He yawned a little as Timothy led the way. It was dark out... evening strolls in the beach was not what Double D found to be enjoyable. Romantic, yes, in its own right... but think about the sand fleas!!

"My, you have very odd spurts of energy, Timothy..." Double spoke, tiredly. The caterpie just made a happy cooing sound, which the young boy established was approval. With another small yawn he stretched his arms. Come to think of it... he never really established Timothy to actually be male. He just so happened to assume so. Perhaps he should verify this at some point... it was beneficial in his notes to be accurate, afterall.

Walking down the beach, he noticed a small amount of glowing. He looked up, curiously, and soon recognized the figure. "Oh! Edward! What in heaven's name are you doing out here?" Double D called out, a bit concerned what his friend was doing out on the beach on his own... needless to say with an odd creature beside her (MPU?) and something glowing in front of him.

Hearing her name being called Ed leaned her head back to look and see who it was. Lifting the goggles up to her forehead Ed blinked as she saw a catapillar, though a few seconds later she saw the one that had actually called her name. Slipping off the goggles and rolling backwards to get on her fett she zig zagged towards the other while the magnemite followed balancing the leetpod ontop of itself. "DD You're here~ And this must be Timothy."

Leaning down close to the pokemon Edward smiled, "I'm Edward."

The caterpie just stared at Edward and made a shrill cooing sound. Double D then kneeled down to pet the creature on the head. "Now, now, don't be rude, Timothy!" The caterpillar-like creature thus jumped and hid behind the sockheaded boy, in which brought a small nervous laugh from him. "I apologize, he's rather shy." He smiled, looking back at Edward and his companion. "MPU looks to be an interesting fellow." He glanced back at the redhead. "Ah... am I interrupting anything?"

Ed looked puzzled at the shrill coo, did it not like Ed? Watching as it hid behind Double D and then the other asking if he had interupted Ed stood back up sliding the goggles down around her neck rather than leaving them pulling her hair up. Falling back and hanging on the magnets of the pokemon Ed pulled the screen in closer so that Double D would be able to see. "Edward hooked MPU up to the leetpod and zapped it to make it faster so it can hack the network. Swim swim upstream back to the source of the signal~"

Though she hadn't had any luck yet. Then remembering the other treasure that she had Ed held out a small golden device that when opened would produce a 3-d holographic image of a man with a study build and wide grin. "It's the father-person."

Double D's eyes widened and he smiled in amazement. His new friend was truly brilliant! He was looking for the source of the signal? Was he trying to find a way out of here? A way to contact the being that brought them there? Was he trying to contact the island. "Fascinating!" Double D smiled with a nod. "I hope you find something! If there's any way I could help, don't be afraid to-"

Before he could finish the thought, Edward had brought out the holographic image... in which, Double D's expression relaxed into a softer, endearing smile. "My... are you feeling homesick?" He asked, looking back at his friend. He could sympathize. He missed mother and father greatly... even if their interactions were brief... often times he felt himself hoping that one morning he would wake up with a room full of sticky notes with chores he had to do...

"Home sick? Edward doesn't have a home." It was true that the child had never had a permanent residence, the closest thing to it being the orphanage she wandered through or perhaps the Bebop. And the only interaction she could remember at all with her father was the few minutes that she had found him again thanks to Spike and Jet's help. As for her mother, Ed wasn't sure if she ever had one or what she was like. "Faye-Faye said that Ed should find where Ed belongs, and that the father person was looking for Ed so Ed should go."

Ed pulled MPU a little closer and rested over the top of the floating magnemite which it didn't seem entirely thrilled about it. "But if Ed finds the source then maybe Ed can send a message to the Bebop and they'll come for Edward." The child smiled poking at the pokemon and looking at the leetpod.

Find where Ed belongs? Father person was looking for Ed? His friend spoke in strange ways, but... Double D decided he was understanding him right. Maybe. Ah... possibly. Maybe it'll all make sense in the end.

Double D tilted his head as Edward went on... deciding he was more confused than ever. "Ah... I'm... a bit lost, Edward..." Perhaps that wasn't the best wording; maybe he should've said that he didn't quite understand what it was he was doing.

Ed smiled again sliding down off of the pokemon before slipping the goggles on once more and fiddling with the leetpod. While the goggles lit up and sprang to life Edward pushed a button and suddenly there was a screen projected in front of her with a virtual image of the network. Most of the pages of data seemed to float by as if in water and occasionally there was a picture of a fish or bubble that floated by alone with a yellow smiley face that seems to hop from page to page. "If Edward can find the source of the data, then Edward might be able to send a message out so everyone can be found. Not lost."

Moving the goggles back up to her forehead Ed smiled softly, "Then maybe everyone will be happy and have pleasant dreams instead."

Oh! Well then... "That's really kind of you.." Double D spoke, smiling a bit. The thought of being back home... to the cul-de-sac, even to the absurd misadventures he had with his friends, and yet something felt a bit troubling about all that.

"Though I do miss home and my friends, I can't say I'm unhappy." Double D admitted. "If I hadn't appeared here, well, I wouldn't have made such friends. I wouldn't have met you, Edward." He laughed a little. "I suppose I would find a bit homesickness back home for this place and the... unique people I've met."

"Really?" Edward cheered and then tackled Double D as she laughed though with how light the child was it probably wasn't enough to even know Double D over. The goggles had come off and were dangling from the pokemon that still just levitated there with the screen still projected. "Maybe DD could go home and then come to visit like Edward did."

Double D's eyes widened and he yelped in surprise when Edward tackled him. Edward wasn't heavy, but Double D was quite scrawny... and he had a shy caterpie hiding behind him so he did stumble a bit. He would've easily fallen over, had Timothy not push him up so he didn't fall. Suddenly Double D found himself to sweat a bit... probably from the embarrassment. "A-Ah! T-Thank you, Timothy!" Double D laughed nervously, standing upright and holding Edward up. He was used to big hugs... Ed back home used to do the same... but then again that Ed usually hugged so tight it nearly was bone-crushing. Edward's hug was... nice. He wasnt as big as Ed was... probably even as thin and gangly as himself.

He cleared his throat, suddenly feeling a little nervous... for who knew why. Quickly brushing any logical explanation aside, he smiled. "Oh, is that what you did?" Double D blinked a little, tilting his head. "...How... did you manage to do that, by the way?"

Ed stayed where she was for a few moments not thinking anything about it before sliding off of Double D and taking a seat on the ground. Smiling up she rubbed the back of her head and had the usual large grin that she wore, "Ed doesn't remember how. But Ein and Ed went home then Ed came back." There was a slight pause, "But not Ein." She missed the small corgi which had become her best friend while she was on the Bebop.

"Oh dear, Ein didn't come back with you?" Double D gave a look of concern, and felt that Edward probably missed his companion despite his wide grin. With a small pat on the shoulder, Double D gave him a reassuring smile, sitting beside him. "There, there, perhaps he'll show up in his own time. After all, I dont remember seeing him with you the first time we met. I'm sure he'll turn up."

Ed nodded in agreement, "Ein will find Edward, but Ed has MPU too." Ed lauched up and swung the pokemon around cheering, though the magnemite didn't seem too happy and zapped Ed until she fell over on the sand. The pokemon then went back over to the leetpod and started hovering over it as sparks flew from it to the device.

Double D's eyes widened when MPU shocked Edward... even Timothy ran back away from them in response. Double D moved over to him in shock. "Gracious, Edward, are you alright??" He looked up at the magnemite. "My, I wonder what has him so irritable."

Ed laid there motionless for a few seconds before springing back up. Blinking she looked over at MPU, "MPU wants to be hooked up again?" Walking over there on her hands Edward attached the pokemon to the leetpod once again. "MPU likes Ed's leetpod and doesn't like it when Ed disconnects them."
