The boy grew quiet after having a grand time calling him names. Something was up. Kakashi was sure someone had to be home, whether it be Kushina or Minato, but in case. Just in case, the jounin wanted to make sure the little boy was safe. He was gnawing on something as small as the star when he caught him on video. He could only imagine what else he'd be up to next.

Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, he began to make his way towards the house that was designated for the small family. He almost had to smile at that. Finally a time for his sensei to peacefully spend time with a family of his own. He couldn't hope for anything better for him. Now, if he only kept a better eye on his own son. The jounin lightly sighed though he knew a young vibrant boy like that couldn't be helped, even for the Fourth Hokage, especially one of the same flesh and blood.

[ooc: I figured it would be better if it weren't at his house since I'm sure at least Kushina would be home to watch him, lol. Unless you'd prefer that? Let me now and I could change it accordingly~ Thanks!]

[ooc: No, no problem at all. For now, let's assume that Kushina had to leave for a moment, and then Naruto used that opportunity to slip out. BECAUSE HE IS TOO AWESOME TO KEEP INDOORS--and the whole world must know of him-!]

Finally, Naruto decided the star didn't really taste that good anyway and pfft, it was his anyway, so he could try again. He was sitting somewhere on a rooftop--somewhere high and where he could see. He'd always liked the higher places--they made him feel better, a place where he could see everything and not even have to worry about being chased around.

The first thing he did was try to go for a leap off the rooftop and land on the floor easily--he always did that--why slowly climb down when you could jump and land and be all PHSSAW, so cool, NINJA-style?! Besides, if he was going to be Hokage, he couldn't afford to slack off-! Which was why the taller the better, yes?

What Naruto didn't expect though, was the tangling of his arms--they moved slower and in wider arcs that he was used to, as though he wasn't sure why his legs weren't moving as fast as he was--

CRASH!

Fortunately, there was something to cushion his fall. Unfortunately, it was a fruit stand.

"Oowwww-!"

"Hm?" Kakashi caught something in the corner of his eye. Blond but tall. And this chakra despite it being weak it seemed oddly familiar. He couldn't just ignore it now could he. Landing above the rooftop where the fruit stand is, he crouched and took a look down; a perturbed sigh escaping him.

It was him. But which one, he wasn't sure. Although those clothes...

His lazy right eye stared down at him as he loudly called out. "Naruto! You all right!?"

He recognized that voice. Naruto would've jumped up and hit him or throw the "tub of lard" at him--Naruto's personal little mixing of anything slimy, anything at hand, and anything REALLY DOWN ON THE GROUND--but then he's kind of--

"Owowowowwwwww-!" He whined, as he tried to get up, feeling it in his arm. Naruto glared at you as though it was all your fault, completely unaware of his new appearance. "Stupiiiiiiid BROOMHEAD-! S'all y'fault-!"

Childishness. With a 16-year-old's voice and appearance.

He would've risen up and giving Kakashi a beating or maybe a "tub of lard"--a little term Naruto referred to as the act of taking anything slimy, anything he could get his hands on, preferrably slipperly and wriggling and put it all in a bucket filled with melted mayo--to him, but, but--

"Owowowowwwwww...!" He whined, trying to sit up, glaring at Kakashi hatefully, favouring his right arm--he fell on it-! "STUPID BROOMHEADDDDDD--! S'all y'fault-!"

Unaware of his transformation to an adult, Naruto was now childish (typical), but a six-year-old's brain with a sixteen year old's voice and appearance.

Yep. It was him all right. Broomhead. Couldn't he come up with something more creative than that? Besides, he really can't recall doing anything to make the boy this upset. Either way, none of that mattered. What concerned him more was that appearance. How did he manage to grow quickly in the matter of minutes? This island never ceased to amaze him.

Kakashi jumped down, swiftly landing on his feet with his left hand in his pocket.

"Well, seeing as you have enough energy to still call me names. I'm going to take that as a 'yes'." The jounin held out his right hand for him to take. "Can you stand?"

Naruto scooted away, knocking back another basket of fruits onto his head - "OW!" - and slamming his already injured arm into the broken cart behind - "Owwwww-!" - and slamming his head into something hard - "OW!" - man, what was with his coordination?! "I..." He grit out against the pain, trying hard not to cry. IT WOULD NOT BE COOL IF HE WERE TO CRY. "YOU, butthead-! YOU have fallen into my TRAP-!"

He looks so proud.

Kakashi just simply watched the mess with a hand on his head. It was almost painful to watch it all. Almost. From the looks of it, it seemed he just wasn't used to the bigger body. The once small limb was now long enough to reach the farthest item on the shelf. Taking from his stature, the jounin guessed that he was at the age of the other Naruto that had recently left.

"You know, it's not convincing after banging into ten other things in the process." He weakly smiled. "Here, let me see." He held out a hand again asking to see his arm.

And of course, Kakashi, Naruto was actually telling the truth. He'd rigged up a bit of wires he'd found lying around from the rooftops and--well, he'd been trying to figure out how to attack it underneath a sewer hole on the roof, but Kakashi didn't need to know that.

Naruto for some reason, couldn't really wrap around the idea that for SOME reason, his arm hurt. REALLY BAD. Okay--normally, you'd start to worry, but Naruto was used to scrapes and bruises and broken arms and legs--they healed up in the time it took Naruto to count up to 360 ten times. But, but--he didn't like it.

He didn't think he could take 360 ten times--he didn't want to wait that long-! He jabbed his arm at Kakashi mournfully, with a sullen look to his face.

"Y'break more," he growled, "Y'break too."

Oh, Kakashi was aware of it though he figured he'd at least let the boy play it out. You know, to bring up his ego and then tear it down as they say. Though he knew well Naruto's spirit couldn't be tore that easily. He smiled on the inside at that. The guts and will to move on and never give up. One of the things that made him strong and one of the things that the teacher was proud of.

The jounin's eyelid slightly lifted in amazement to see that he was complying and warmly smiled. He carefully took his arm and stared at it. Now, he wasn't any expert in medical ninjutsu but he could tell that if it was anyone else besides Naruto they would have been badly injured. This too was all thanks to Kyuubi's powers, he silently thought. He smiled at him again.

"Well! If you don't move it around too much, it should heal up nicely, I'm sure." Kakashi supported the injured arm and attempted to help the boy to stand up. "All right, come on. Let's go."
