Itachi sat in a chair against the wall, opposite the bed. He watched, a faint frown turning down the corners of his lips. It had taken a struggle; a small struggle to get Sasuke over to his apartment, but one he was here, Itachi was satisfied.

"As I said, perhaps not, but still it is better then Sakura."

Sasuke mentally winced at that.

That was entirely true. Sakura may mean well, but she was just annoying with her pestering and insistence. Not to mention he just didn't want to deal with the pink haired kunoichi, especially when his head was pounding. He was sick, he didn't want to get worse.

He tried to look over at Itachi, doing what he had done when the other hadn't been at his best as well. It was a comforting gesture. His brother's presence overall was a comfort in itself.

"I just hope she won't come looking for me."

"Try as she might, I will not allow it. The last time she was in my apartment she nearly put a hole in the wall."

He didn't meantion what else had also happened, but it was not something that needed to be shared. Well perhaps at a later time, but not now.

He stood, returning to the kitchen to retrieve the tea he had begun making since they had returned. He poured a cup, grabbed a small pill bottle from the top of the fridge, and returned to his room.

"Acetaminophen," he said, setting both the cup and the bottle on the table next to the bed. "It is supposed to help with fever and whatever aches you may have."

Sasuke glanced over to where the medicine was and frowned. He had taken some medicine before that his roommate had gotten for him, but it had worn off some time ago. The thought that he would have to take medicine to get better didn't sit well with him as he normally just slept the sickness off. Unfortunately, he knew that Itachi wouldn't let him off so easily.

Sitting up with some difficulty, pausing to let the dizziness pass, he moved to take the medicine. Picking up the bottle, he tried to open it, only to scowl in irritation at not being able to.

The younger Uchiha really didn't like this feeling of helplessness.

"You are worse then I originally thought," he said with a soft sigh, sitting on the edge of the bed.

Itachi took the bottle, popping off the cap off, using a finger to fish out two of the small white capsules.

"Here," he said, holding them out in the palm of his hand, picking up the cup of tea in his other.

Just as he was about to take the pills from Itachi's hand, he had another round of a coughing fit. He used his other hand to cover his mouth, taking in a shuddering breath once it was over.

As he finally took the two pills from his brother, he replied in a scratchy voice, "Normally I wouldn't have bothered."

With that, Sasuke put them in his mouth, then taking the cup of tea and washing it down in a single gulp. The tea was hot, but that didn't matter so much as it helped soothe his throat some. As he sipped the rest of his tea, he could feel it's effects working somewhat.

It was then that Deidara decided to make his appearance at his pseudo-boyfriend's house so much for you getting better Sasuke. He was bundled up in his Akatsuki robe since it was the onyl warm piece of clothing he had. Since cold was easier to pull himself out into, he figured, Deidara decided to hide out at Itachi's place.

Besides, the man could make a bitchin' cup of tea.

He knocked on the door. It was a persistent knock, and only two ninjas on the island had that kind of knock, both blond, and both tied in with some sort of odd relationship with the Uchihas.

He had opened his mouth to say something, but had been cut off immediately by a very loud knock at his door. He lips pressed together, looking over his shoulder.

He knew that chakra signature all to well.

He resisted a sigh, standing up, with a small murmur of assurance that he would return in just a moment as he walked out to answer the front door.

"Knocking once is just as effective, Dei," he said pulling the door open for the blond. "It is also more preferred since there is a sick person trying to rest in my bedroom."

"Oh." Deidara shuffled in, glancing into the house, peering with his one visible blue eye. He glanced up at Itachi. "Sorry un. Didn't know you were trying to play medic nin over here. Can I play? I wanna be a nurse un."

The blond slid past him, shuddering. "Fuck, it's cold out there. Who're you housing un?"

He closed the door behind him, shaking off the chill from the cold air outside. He huffed lightly with amusement at Deidara's comment.

"My brother," he said walking back down the hall to his bedroom, but pausing at the door. "There is tea ready in the kitchen. You look like you could use some warming up."

He slipped back into his room, once again taking a seat on the chair opposite the bed. He sighed, hoping there would be no troubles.

Noticing Itachi's return, even though he was beginning to get drowsy because of the medicine, Sasuke turned to look at his brother with half-lidded eyes.

"Who was it?"

He had heard the knock on the door and for a fleeting moment, thought it was Naruto. The blond was a persistent one and even though he had told the other he would be fine, Naruto's definition of fine was different compared to his own. He wouldn't put it past the other to come barging in the room a minute later, announcing his presence in a loud voice.

For Sasuke, that's what was expected.

"Sasuke huh." Deidara merely looked towards the door, watching Itachi disappear before going into the kitchen to obtain so tea. So the kid was sick?

He looked away from the open bedroom door, back to Sasuke.

"It's Deidara."

Hearing the name made Sasuke's eye twitch just the slightest bit before he closed his eyes and laid back down on the bed.

So he sort of knew that his brother and the blond bomber were something like a couple or something along those lines. But really, he didn't understand how it developed. Didn't want to know. It was their business and he had no right to pry into it, especially if it was Itachi. As long as Deidara didn't try to kill his brother again, he'd tolerate it enough. Didn't exactly mean he approved. Yet.

"Hn."

After obtaining his cup of tea, Deidara wandered on into Itachi's room to see his brother laying there in his bed. He sniggered faintly, taking a sip.

"Hey there Sasuke. Haven't seen you since you were at my house un."

He looked up as the blond entered the room, shifting in his chair, leaning back against it.

When Deidara spoke, Itachi looked between him and Sasuke, his eyes resting one the blond after a moment.

"He was at your place?"
