Who: Shadow - Closed
When: Now
Where: In the forest
What: Shadow goes monster hunting... And the effects from the ring kick in at the worst possible time.
Note: I don't even. I just. There's no excuse for this. XD I just wanted Shadow to get some random cuddlage in, and I'm feeling wordy. I am so sorry for this. ♥ THOUGH, if you want your character to see this atrocity taking place, they can tease Shadow about it later. ♥
It wasn't like Shadow needed anymore money from defeating monsters or anything. He had more than enough, especially considering that he hardly ever spent it. He didn't ever buy anything that he didn't need, save for the suit he'd purchased for the masquerade. Everything else he ever bought was food. Of course, with Maria being here, he could easily spend his money on her. Hell, he could spoil her, and it would be perfectly fine with him.
But when he got bored, he liked to go take out a few monsters here and there. It was a good way to kill time, and keep himself in top shape. He didn't want to lose to something like lethargy.
Today was no different. He had almost completely forgotten about the weird feelings he'd been having the other day, after his ring came off. In fact, he'd almost forgotten about randomly and uncharacteristically snuggling with Alice when she'd brought him some soup. Though that had been strange for him; it wasn't much on his mind right now.
Having rounded up a small group of monsters had been no problem. The more, the merrier, after all. If there weren't enough, it'd be too easy, and that was no way to train. He was trying to exert himself. So a group of six monsters would suffice. It was easy enough to do. He supposed that he looked like food since he was smaller than most of the inhabitants of the island. A couple normal attacks here, a Chaos Spear or two there, and he'd taken out five of the six. He turned to face the biggest one, and raised his gun.
Instead of firing, however, he found himself (much against his will) dropping his gun to the ground and moving closer to the monster. There was no rhyme or reason for these actions. He had felt this way when Alice brought him food. Which could only mean...
Shadow blinked in obvious surprise and displeasure as he found himself unable to resist attempting to wrap his arms around the monster's body. This had to be a part of that awful ring fiasco. There was consequences for stuff like that. This... had to be a consequence. Getting the urge to hug and cuddle anything he happens to come across. Shadow was smart, he knew it would be better to just... accept it. So, very much to his dismay, he allowed himself to hug the monster, and hold it close to him. He did not enjoy this. At all.
If he ever found out who was behind this kind of bullshit, they would be saying hello, and goodbye to his pistol.
