It was strange. To be right there at death's door. All that needed to be done was to open it and everything would have ended there. But before she could even reach up to touch the knob, life was thrusted back into her. However, her location wasn't the same ( ... )

The redhead studied her expression and posture for a moment. He wondered if he should ask what was wrong, though he didn't know how much help he would be if he did, or leave her be. It wasn't like it was any of his business, but he still couldn't help but wonder. The feeling she was radiating...it was heavy. Well, asking wouldn't be such a bad idea and if she felt no need to indulge him, then he would leave it alone. Perhaps he wasn't the one she needed to help her with whatever troubles she was having.

With a slight tilt of the head, he held out his hand for her to take so that he could help her up. It couldn't have been easy to move around in a dress like that. "You're upset...", he said out loud, his minty green eyes still expressionless as they nearly always were.

A small part of Angelina was hoping that he'd notice her current mood, and that he'd give her a chance to let out.. whatever she needed to let out. However at the same time, she was hoping he didn't notice, because the last thing she wanted to do was worry him. Her silent wish was granted though when he spoke up, and Angelina blinked a bit. Should she tell him...?

Taking his hand gently as she began to stand up, she gave a small sheepish smile to mask any signs of distraught from him. "I-It's nothing... really. Grell is.. being a pain again, is all." For all she knew, that statement could have been the actual truth.

Gaara released her hand once she was upright and out of postural habit, he crossed his arms over his chest. So she chose to hide it instead of letting it out. That was fine, if she didn't feel the need to inform him of her troubles, then she didn't have to.

"That Grell...seems to cause a lot of trouble for everyone...", the shorter redhead said. "I'll keep an eye on him...", he reassured.

He looked along the shore, his blank green eyes not searching for anything in particular, then looked back up at the older woman. "Do you have your key?", he asked before they moved on. He planned on showing her where her apartment was when they were done.

The minute Gaara let go of her hand, Angelina bent down slightly to dust the sand off her dress. It seemed Gaara had bought her excuse, and she sighed at his statement. "Indeed... he's a mischievous one..." His second statement made her blink. "...ah yes. That'd be... helpful. I personally can't watch him all the time." She then gave him a small smile.

Silence followed after as she looked at their surroundings. She looked back at Gaara though when he spoke up again and blinked. "....key? For what?" She blinked again and patted her dress a bit to see if she could feel for a key. After a few moments, she stopped and blinked once more when she felt something... odd. "What in the..." Reaching in jacket, she pulled out a key and blinked for what felt like the umpteenth time. "...do you mean this key?"

Little did the noblewoman know was that he hadn't bought her excuse in the least. Though he was a bit inept at showing his own emotions, he wasn't blind to ones of hurt. He had produced too many of those in his own childhood to be ignorant of such feelings. Even after he had locked his heart away and reopened it ( ... )

Letting the other redhead take the key, she watched him as he examined it, and wondered what exactly the key was for. She blinked when he handed the key back to her, and took it back into her hands, holding it up to examine it herself. Glancing over to him when he spoke up, she smiled a bit. "..oh! So there's housing on this island? Wonderful!"

As Gaara told her his plan as to where they were going to go, she gave him a confused look. She understood completely what he was saying. What bugged her though was... his tone. He seemed so stiff, and monotone. Tilting her head slightly, she spoke up a bit after he finished. "....you know Gaara... you don't need to be so stiff~"

Gaara nodded, "Yes...I have an apartment. You may be sharing with another person or you may not be", he further explained.

As he waited for a reply for his plans to be agreed with or not, he let his arms fall to his sides. He blinked a couple of times. "'Stiff'?", he repeated, not sure about what she meant. "I was merely explaining our plans for the day...".

Angelina frowned at Gaara's reply. "Oh.. sharing? This must be a decent sized house then..." she mused outloud. She then glanced down to the other. "..apartment? That must be awful... such a tiny place to live in..." It was obvious she'd make a comment like that. She was a noble after all. Large mansions with tons of rooms and fancy furniture was what she was used to. Just the thought of living in a small apartment made her cringe slightly.

Angelina laughed slightly at his reply to her statement and she gently placed her hand on his shoulder. "Yes... but you look so serious~... You should at least make this a fun tour..!"

His minty eyes drifted to the ground for a moment, thinking about the noblewoman's comment about his apartment. It wasn't that he minded the space at all. Sure, he was used to something much bigger, but it was a living space that had everything he needed and fancier things weren't really needed. "It...is fine for my needs", he answered finally.

He looked up at the hand on his shoulder, then gazed at her a bit. He still wasn't used to people being so friendly with him save for Naruto and his siblings. A slight bit of surprise drifted into his expressionless eyes and he tilted his head. "'Fun'? But I don't know...", he mused, a bit confused on what she wanted from him. In all honesty, he didn't know how to be "fun". That was Naruto's job.

Angelina blinked at his words. She pondered on them for a bit, and gave a small shrug. "...I suppose. Although, I hope the house I'm in isn't too small..."

She gaped slightly at the younger boy and... just stared. Didn't know how to have fun? "....but how!? You're young..! Don't you have fun with your friends? Or your siblings?" Well this was depressing. Never had she heard about someone not knowing how to "have fun." Sure Ciel seemed to be anti-social with almost everyone, but he did have his own weird way of having fun...

Gaara thought for a moment. It wasn't like he hadn't had fun before, but he wasn't what you'd call the life of the party, either. He gave a small shrug and continued to gaze up at her, his eyes showing a hint of confusion.

"There was this one time with Naruto...but he got me drunk...and my oneesan and niisan....I'm really busy at home...I...", he thought out loud. He knew he was young and that others his age liked to play and have fun together, but he was the Kazekage, he didn't have time for playing and being silly. He had a job to do. His childhood didn't leave room for being a kid, either since most of the other children ridiculed him and he was training with his father all of the time. He honestly didn't know how to start a fun activity.

Drunk? At his age? ...was that even legal? Pondering at his words, she tried to think up of a few reasons as to why he was so... sheltered. She figured that his position as Kazekage in his home country required his full attention, but that didn't explain why he hadn't experienced and fun when he was younger. She then remembered that he had mentioned over the LPs about finally earning his people's respect, so she figured something happened that made him isolated from eveyone socially.

She gave him a reassuring smile however, and took her hand off his shoulder. "Since.. you are away from your country, you should keep in mind that your duties as your country's leader didn't follow you." Her smile widened. "Letting that go will more than likely help get you started on having fun!"

The shorter redhead stared up at her and he nodded slowly. She reminded him a lot of his older sister, or rather, a more mature version of her. He tilted his head slightly. "Then...I will try to have fun during this tour...", he agreed. Though, he didn't even know where to begin. He didn't know what this woman considered fun and he didn't even know how to commence any sort of fun activity.

Angelina nodded at him and pulled her fan out. "Alright. Now that we have that settled, where to first~?" She started fanning herself, and turned in the direction towards the town, a hand on her waist. She had to admit, she was eager to see what the town offered, and hoped there was a tea shop somewhere. If not, she could always harass Grell to make her some, even if it wasn't that good.

Grell's words, however managed to make their way back into her mind and she frowned slightly. If Vincent really was here still... she had to avoid him at all costs. Her chest hurt at just thinking about all the awful things that could come from his mouth if he saw what she had turned into. Keeping her back to Gaara, she kept silent, her fanning coming to a stop.

"I was thinking...we could stop by the shopping center...since it has...", his voice drifted when he felt the mood shift from lighter to that familiar feeling that surrounded the lady in red when he came upon her. He wondered if they really could have 'fun' if she was in such a sullen mood.

The redheaded boy moved his fingers and a small pillow of sand was being manipulated into some sort of ribbon like shape. It slowly wrapped itself around Angelina's hand in a comforting manner and tugged at it.
