Dancing with dogs

Feb 14, 2006 10:11

A good way to start a day is to turn up the radio to the LOVE show on KFOG playing oldies and dance wildly around the living room iin your pijamas with a dog who also likes to dance. I sit here, overloking a playground full of children. Somehow even the sound of them satisfies my teaching gene. Which is good, because I have other things to do today. I just found out that one of my favorite authors teaches at the creative writing program at Davis. This is tempting to me somehow. Maybe in a few years. We shall see.

I have determined that wedding planning is no fun whatsoever withoout my SO. I spent all day yesterday shuffling through things and it just felt like drudgery. So, I am determined to not get sucked ito it unless he is with me. It is supposed to be about both of us, and I want it to be more fun that it is.

So today is about hiking and writing. I get excited about the new zine and am anxiously awaiting the illustrations from redchair66, because the ones that she already did are fantistic!!! Brilliant, I am telling you. This zine is going to be better than the last one I think. I also have a newsletter to write for the museum, and format it all around in the lovely graphic way that I enjoy doing. I also have a screenpplay to turn into a novel. so many projects and it is such a beautiful day. So, thus a hike first.

My recap of the weekend was that the food was delicious, and BSG was quite romantic. Indian food makes my belly ache. (Oh, they are playing such good songs on the radio right now!) It was good to see old friends, but there are still ones that I miss just chilling with. Some are there, but others are not. will I always be nostalgic for what was?

What is now is good. Dog, sun, words, green grass, music...time to put on my running shoes...
