I'm here!

Detroit Metro is a circus. It has it's own highway, the parking garage is at least 2 miles from the terminal I had to be in and this girl on our shuttle would not shut up about her fucked up body conditions and how she shouldn't even be flying because she was so messed up. She was on her cell phone of course and was obviously not conscious of how loud she was and how small and cramped the shuttle was. Ashley and I exchanged knowing looks and quietly remarked on her ditsy attitude.

So that was that, I got checked in and moved onto security, where I set off the metal detector 3 times. They made me take off my shoes, my earrings, take Kyra out of her carrier (she put up a magnifcent fight to get out of my arms. Eventually the TSA security guard had to hold her while I shoved a bunch of my stuff through the scanner. Finally we were off to the gate, Kyra meowing and me exhausted. And we hadn't even taken off.

To make a long story short - Kyra behaved wonderfully on both flights, even though the express planes were extremely narrow and hard to get all my carry on luggage and the cat carrier into some kind of storage.

So now I'm in Georgia, the relaxing breeze and humid air quite comforting. Kyra is in love with the porch and the breeze and warmth it provides.

I took my Lamictal, I think i'm going to take a nap and then work on lots of exercise! My goal is to lose at least 5-10 pounds before I get back to Kazoo.

And...dum dum dum! The wireless connection is actually pretty strong for now, so hopefully I'll keep in touch with most of you.

Have fun in the spring weather of Michigan.
