So i sort of graduated today. not really graduated graduated, but i guess as much as i am going to graduate in a ceremonial sense. i have two assignments to turn in, my thesis to print and turn in, and one final to take, then i will be done. i'm not going to walk at the big commencement, but i went to the honors commencement, which was actually pretty nice.

3% of graduating seniors are graduating with honors. of those 3%, 25% graduated with double or "highest" honors. so what is, that, .75%? my mom shot me a big smile when she heard that, and i felt somewhat validated. somewhat.

anyways, we ate spinach pie and brownies and drank something called "white punch". then we listened to a few speakers that threw around words and phrases like "excellence" "tireless effort" "perserverence" and the like. then we walked across the stage and got medallions and certificates. the guy couldnt' find mine, so i originally got a blank one, but no one could tell because they were in a folded case thing. Me and two other boys were too cool to get dressed up and wore jeans. but that's okay, i would rather look like a bum than wear khakis or black polyester pants, which seemed to be the standard dress code. i totally hate wearing khakis and black polyester pants.i have khakis, but i've never worn them. I could have worn my thesis presentation outfit, had i known it was going to be on the fancier side. i hope i didnt' embarrass my parents too much.

matt posky, i saw you there. and your girlfriend who was wearing a skirt that i bet she made herself.

i've had a sore throat for a few days now. not like normal strep throat sore, but who knows. i can't take a deep breath or yawn without coughing which really hurts, and really sucks.

i just finished reading "blue like jazz". i liked it. i finished it, which in itself says something. there was a lot in there that i could relate to. the author was a little obnoxious at times, but most authors that give commentary on their own lives are. it was one of those books that by the end of it you have a list of about 83 people that you want to have read it. not everyone will be crazy about the whole thing, but there's a little something in there for everyone i think. but i'm not sure, because i am only me, and not everyone.

steve and i are going to madison next week for a few days to check out the campus and talk with a professor there. and stefan has a phone interview with a company there. yeep.
