the crazy arctic adventure
So I had this dream which inspired an idea for an awesome RPG but having only played a non video game RPG once I can't develop it and especially since I havn't studied enough history or geography or geology but here is what I was thinking.
you start the game off in our current time, you and your players are a family of geographers,geologist,anthropologist,biologist,chemist,Linguest, Liberal studies major! etc etc (needs development), your major ofcourse opens your skill bases so that a chemist can cure poison better then the other jobs, an anthropologist can find traps better etc (needs development)
anyway your off to explore the effects of global warming on either the arctic or antarctic in my dream that inspired this game it was the antarctic and you find that shits really bad its so bad your forced to land but to your suprise the land is alittle different then you remember, ice is severely melted for one thing and you find an ancient ship not too far from shore. Having made the discovery of a lifetime you and your family check the inside of the haul but once inside it starts to get hot like your on the equator, so you run out of the ship to discover its 100degrees outside and your complete surrounded by tropic what do you do?
now the point of the game is to figure out what summoned you into this alternate time/dimension. You'll run into indigineous people from this time/dimension who maybe able to unlock what happened to you, but you'll also run into undiscovered/already extinct animals, dungeons, other dimensional/time warps, all while trying to get everyone home safely
in my dream kacey and I got bit my scorpians as when we tried to leave the ship we zoned into a dungeon and when we tried to escape the dungeon we were back in the arctic and when we went to another part of the arctic we went back into the dungeon. With no place to go we explored the dungeon and got bit by scorpians which guarded the exit of the dungeon. we ran out but outside the dungeon non of us had antidotes, we saw my brother albert but he was only an english major and couldnt stop us from dying.
if your reading this and can help me develop it into a decent RPG we can play lets do it!
