Around two years ago, about a month or two after I arrived in Japan, the guys I worked with got me into Warhammer 40k. I started off with a Necron army, which eventually was built up into a 1500+ point army. They're all fully painted, but I've been too lazy to set them out and take a photo or two.
Painting this army got me back into painting miniatures (I used to paint them when I was around 12 or 13). I also learned that acrylic with an enamel clear coat is far better than using just plain enamel. Anyway, a few months later, we also started a D&D campaign (since I'm a huge geek) so some of the guys I played with asked if they bought some miniature representation of their character if I would paint it. I agreed and this turned into me buying a large amount of miniatures just to... paint.
About a month or so ago I finally finished painting the 15 miniatures I first bought. It took about a year or so, because of my on and off relationship with painting them. I figured I'd share them here. They're all 25mm miniatures. Small!
I don't really paint the faces (lips, eyes, etc.) because I don't have a fine enough brush to get that amount of detail and using a layering technique kills the detail more than I already do using the relatively thick acrylics (plus the priming coat).
I've about 5 more I've painted more recently (finished one of them today), but I need to get around to taking and uploading photos of them. When I do, I'll probably post them here.
