Earthly desideratum
Last night we had Christmas at 2131 (AKA the house). So I cooked up some Schnitzel and made smashed potatoes and we made a fire and Balbir got us each a gingerbread man (which we proceeded to mutilate) and Elisa made the most delicious Mexican hot chocolate.
We had a fantastic Secret Santa where Elisa got me the Jeopardy boardgame and then we all played. So perfect. I beat Craig by $70,198. But now I have the nickname "Jeopardy Girl" among the English grad students. I guess there are worst things one could call you...
Finals are next week, but Balbir and I can't stop watching Felicity and looking through all the retail catalogs that come to the house and drinking tea and listening to Fiona Apple and reading Thoreau essays from the shelf... really anything to avoid organizing a semester worth of shit in my head, and my folder
