Another meme stolen from
ladywhitehart Fill this out about your Senior year of High School. The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be.
1. Did you date someone from your school? Yes, it was a kind of relationship I'd never want to repeat again. We technically weren't together, but at the same time she wouldn't stand for me dating others & she was very needy. I hated that relationship status and do not want to repeat it.
2. Did you marry someone from your high school? Not married yet, so no.
3. Did you car pool to school? No, I took the bus until I got approved to drive to school. I lived too much in the sticks and no kids were my age near where I lived.
4. What kind of car did you have? 1987 Maroon Plymouth Reliant K. It was older than me (and kept breaking down) but it was fun to drive.
5. What kind of car do you have now? 1994 Black Mazda Protege (it has stick shift! I will never drive automatic again!)
6. It was Friday night...where were you then? Home unless I was invited to a party at a friend's house.
7. It is Friday night...where are you now? Home unless I am invited to a party by a friend. (Social life isn't too horrible).
8. What kind of job did you have in high school? Lifeguard @ the local YMCA
9. What kind of job do you do now? Work-study @ College and Lakefront Director @ a Boyscout Camp
10. Were you considered a flirt? NO.
11. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Orchestra & Choir. I quit trombone at the end of 5th grade because I didn't want to do the marching thing.
12. Were you a nerd? Somewhat... I was more of an oddball and a floater who didn't really belong to a specific social group and yet could get along with almost all of them.
13. Did you get suspended or expelled? Nope.
14. Can you sing the fight song? Umm... I recall one line but that's about it. But then again that's all I could remember @ football games and such.
15. Who was/were your favorite teacher? Mr. Merkley, orchestra--he also did math tutoring for M&M bags. Mrs. M, Hon. English--wonderful classes
16. Where did you sit during lunch? With different social groups of friends, depending on who I felt like hanging out with at the moment.
17. When did you graduate? June 2006
18. What was your school mascot? Bear
19. If you could go back and do it again, would you? NO! (notice how it's bold, underline, and italicized)
20. Did you have fun at Prom? what was the song? Prom was okay, nothing particularly stands out in my mind. The parent's committee brought in a casino group that didn't require any actual gambling (they gave us a stack of chips to work off of), so no money was lost. Then there was a large lottery with a lot of prizes. An entertainer or two. All of this was intended to keep us distracted and there at prom until 4 or 5 AM rather than attempting to check into the hotel above our heads and do what traditionally happens on prom nights, or attempt to drive home after sneaking out to a bar. Parents, not teachers, took shifts on chaperoning Prom. Yes, welcome to the frutition of the "heiliocoptor parenting" theology.
21. Do you still talk to the person you went to Prom with? Somewhat, whenever I run into her. She's working, engaged to be married, and pregnant. She's also the aforementioned relationship that was mentioned in Question #1.
22. Are you planning on going to your next reunion? Umm... maybe? If I'm free perhaps.
23. Do you still talk to people from school? Occasionally. I'm in contact with mostly my closest friends from HS. Other than that I don't really talk to anyone else.
24. What are/were your school's colors? Red & Black (sometimes white was thrown in for good humor)
Yeah... that was HS.
