Stolen from
annearchy Thanks Anne!
Also, who the heck would set that evil contraption (alias Alarm Clock) to get up that early? Oh wait... High School kids do it every day. Sucks to be them. HA HA! I can be so evil sometimes.
Other things: I got accepted onto my first official RPG @
road_ahead! I can't wait to begin. So my plan is to start preparing for it tonight so I can pounce on it tomorrow night quite happily. Thanks again Anne for sending out the word!
In other news I bought four DVDs over the weekend (cheaply from Wal-mart... one of the only things I buy there). I bought Scooby-Doo 2 pack (because each movie apparently wasn't selling enough on its own so they combined them to sell them), Disney's Haunted Mansion (My question is, were the Disney writers on crack when they were writing it or something because the movie doesn't really make any sense whatsoever), Mel Brooks' History of the World Pt 1 and Young Frankenstein (I loved them! I must get the other Mel Brooks movies!). I've recently gotten the 1995 TV version of Bye Bye Birdie, which was cute and a pretty accurate portrayal of the actual musical (unlike the 1963 version which was just filmed to centerpiece Ann Margaret [who in my opinion was too old and attractive to be Kim Macaffe]). I also ordered off of Amazon.com The Jane Austen Book Club movie and Becoming Jane (which while it was cute was most CERTAINLY fiction). i can't wait for those two movies to arrive.
In other news I highly have enjoyed watching the Masterpiece Theatre showings of Jane Austen's works (although they MUTILATED her glorious Mansfield Park--just because the actress they hired thought Fanny was too much of a prig--In my opinion Billy Piper can only play one character--Billy Piper, so it was a ship that was destined to sink). This week they showed a semi-biographical film on the last years of Jane Austen's life in Miss Austen Regrets. It was quite well worth seeing, though I'm waiting to see the new Sense and Sensibility before I go out and buy it (because they come in a 2 pack as well).
Beyond movie news, I bought a pretty nice vase, which is only half of the Valentine's Day gift for my girlfriend, Clara. I now have to find a local florist and put in an order for a dozen roses for Valentine's Day. That also reminds me i need to decorate the vase and make a card for her. If you're wondering why I'm not too worried about V-day, it's because it's my poor darling Clara who has to worry. Not only does she have to find something for V-day, but the 15th is my birthday. So yeah, talk about a back-to-back whammy. Poor Clara.
Okay, now it's time for homework!
