Books Galore!
So cause Mom works/volunteers at the Learning Disabilities Association she got to take their invitation to go to the times colonist book sale free day and she brought me :D. For my friends who don't live in Victoria every year the Times Colonist- the local paper, has a HUGE books sale. I'm talking two floors of a building. The day after the book sale non-profit organizations and teachers and the like get invited to come and grab anything they can carry for free from what's left over.
I was in freaking HEAVEN! Admittedly most of the "good stuff" was gone- but there was still a lot of stuff. I left with two huge canvas grocery bags FULL of books. I would have gotten more but we had a time limit- Mom had to be home to supervise the putting in of her new kitchen cabinets so my Dad could leave for work. I didn't want to go but Mom convinced me by saying "There's always next year" (SQUEEE) Granted she still had to drag me out by my sleeve heh. I'll type up a list of all I got once I sort through it all.
Weird thing is I seem to have ruptured a blood vessel in the white of my left eye. Mom noticed it when we were waiting to get in. I have NO CLUE how I did this. I mean, I wear glasses. Its very hard to accidently poke oneself in the eye when you wear glasses but somehow I musta. Hopefully it'll go away in a few days, if not its another fun fun trip to the local walk in clinic, blah.
Tomorrow I get the new fun of setting up an RRSP. Dad recommended I do it, plus I've been wanting to for awhile and I get more of a tax refund if I do. I plan to put most of my tax refund in my savings account minus enough to get an external hard drive. I know its cheaper to get an internal one but my computer case for my desktop has no more room and if I get an external one that uses USB I can use it with either my Laptop or my desktop :D. I'm also tempted to get a micro sd card for my cell phone to use as an Mp3 player but I'm not sure if I will. I might if I order the hard drive from Tiger direct only cause they have the cheapest micro sd cards I've seen so far.
I didn't get a chance to work on the mural this week- to busy. I'll post a picture of what's finished so far though. I may take an afternoon on one of my days off to come up and work on it. Though it depends on if I really wanna give up my free time- I've got a lot of cleaning I've been ignoring at the house I really should do.
