Wheee snow day
So it snowed massively (atleast for Victoria) today. I woke up to the sounds of shovelling which clued me in pretty quickly. I took my camera with me on my errans though and got some really neat shots. I'll have to look into getting some sort of photo sharing account somewhere since I'm not too keen on the gallery set up of livejournal.
Yesterday night was fun. Dad came and picked me up and we had dinner at subway then went and saw "Night at the Mueseum". I don't think I found it as funny as Graeme did when he saw it but I definantly enjoyed it. I'm doing more family stuff tonight too
Today I finally went and used my mall gift certificate I got from work. I spent nearly 2 hours in the mall debating on what to buy. Finally it came down to that new Crayola cutter thingie or Season Four of Buffy. It turns out the cutter thingie doesn't cut a straight line but makes perferations which I didn't want so I got Buffy instead and as an added bonus since I had a little bit left on the gift card I picked up Brokeback Mountain for 5.99
Then I headed over to Shoppers to grab a few things and the library to pick up some books which were on hold. On a whim on the way home I stopped by Future shop and am I ever glad I did. They had the first season of Due South ON SALE! I ended up getting it fpr 29 bucks, normally it runs anywhere from 52-70! I decided it would be my birthday present to myself since it is coming up!
Oh I also stopped for lunch at McDonalds and bought the Littled Pet Shop Happy meal and got the puppy. It's silly I know but I wanted the toy and these days the amount of food in a happy meal is perfect for me, otherwise I start feeling gross
Speaking of food/weight etc I'm back down to my pre-holiday weight which makes me very happy. I know truthfully I shouldn't be happy at 160 (I should weight like 140) but considering two years ago I was 200 pounds, 160 suits me fine, plus once winter is over and it dries up a bit around here I'll start biking again
Tomorrow I go grocery shopping and do a clean of the apartment since I'm having a movie date later with the girl I met for coffee with last week *grin*
Then its back to the grind, but atleast I have my birthday to look forward to. Mom and Dad are gonna take me to brunch after work and then on the 18th I'm having a party at my place. Although I haven't heard back from my cousins yet which makes me worries that they didn't really enjoy my last party thing...oh well, I'll resend the email invite just in case
All and all I had a pretty darn productive day :D
