My days off
So I enjoyed my days off. Yesterday Mom and I went out. WE dropped off a carry on bag for Emily then went to Mayfair on a shoe quest. I'm hoping I picked the right pair although my feet are gonna ache no matter what today due to the newness
The trip to MAyfair went well until we tried to leave the parking lot. While we were backing up this other lady was backing up to towards us, and us towards them. I noticed in time and called out for Mom to stop but the other lady wasn't paying attention and she hit us. I got out first and checked it out. The side of our car was scarped up and there was a few inches of scuff on her back bumper. So me being me, I smiled at her and said "Hey its no big deal, just a few scrapes" and I figured we could both just drive off. She on the other hand was not as easy going and started insisting that Mom would have to pay to repair her car. As soon as I noticed the growing tension I retreated back into the car and sat and waited for her and Mom to figure it all out.
After that I came home and worked on my note book and wrote out all the new skills I learned the past week. Then I popped by Simon's for some cat cleaning and cat cuddling. I'm hoping to be able to move the cats to their new home either Sunday or Monday evening so that works
As for apartment hunting, its slow and steady. The one condo Mom wanted to get turned out to have this naziesque "ONE CAT ONLY" policy so now I'm back to hunting through the classifieds. I bounced the idea of maybe getting a place with Emily off Mom. Its a "dream" situation so I'm not banking on it, but its an idea. Mom loved the idea and started saying "Maybe she can teach you how to take care of your face and hair cause she always looks amazing" which made me chuckle but atleast it shows Mom's supportive of the idea even when I told her I'd opt to pay the higher end of the rent since Emily's funds are far more limited then mine
Now I'm just having lunch (white KD YUM) then it's off to work. I'm training with a new girl today so I hope she's as supportive as Carly. She's been really great in showing me the ropes and VERY supportive. But I have a good chunk of knowledge now going in so that helps. Joan, my supervisor returns at the end of the month to review so I'm hoping she gets good reports about me.
My stuff is showing up today..FINALLY! After 3 so I won't be here but atleast its coming. Now I'll have access to my computer, bike and rolar blades!!
