$4 per hour sounds crazy. i guess the american dollar is worth more than our canadian, but here all jobs start at $7.25/hour. more reason to live here, maybe?

even server wages? i think that might differ because of tips. could you imagine how many people would want to serve if they were getting $7.25 hourly PLUS tips? that would be outrageous!

nope, everyone starts at $7.25. i was a server for a bit, and that is our provincial minimum wage. tips are on top of that!
