A Discouraging Word
The new Kitty is to be named Grace& or Graçen if you prefer. This is for "Grace and Ease," a phrase often spoken during CST.
However, he is not really ready to be away from Mom. He came to my house because of a combination of me not knowing how old kittens are by looking, and B not really having a clear recollection of which litter was born when, or even which kittens were in which litter. It seems that one of the moms is feeding both sets of kittens.
He is a bit needy, but the real problem is that he hasn't been eating or drinking enough to keep body and soul together. He tried to nurse off me last night. I feel slightly better because he really went for the soft-cooked egg I prepared for him this morning. This is not a good ultimate solution though.
The good news is that B and I will be meeting me at C's studio tonight, and bringing Mom in a carrier, so that they will be happy in her vehicle for a while. Then Graçen will be going back for a little more nurturing and kitty training.
