Update on life, the universe, and everything
I haven't written a lot here lately. Mind you, I haven't written a lot lately full stop, as I've been busy with various other stuff. So I thought I'd do a bit of a quick catch-up for everything in general.
Movies: I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and laughed and laughed and laughed. It was wonderful. Now I am currently waiting for Ultraviolet to get here, and of course waiting for my most anticipated movie of the year (after Pirates) to come out: Snakes on a Plane.
Manga: Got addicted to I'm No Angel and continued my love affair with Ouran HSHC and W Juliet, among many other titles (too numerous to list). I was also very happy that the latest couple of volumes of Bleach finally got into the Soul Society arc, so I'm finally able to read all of the stories people have been writing and actually know who all the damn characters are. Favourite Soul Society characters: Hanatarou (such a sweetie!), Kenpachi and Yachiru.
Books: Massively backlogged on reading, but did manage to get the pile down a bit by blitzing through Undead and Unreturnable (so much better than the previous one in the series), inhaling the Parrish Plessis series by Marianne de Pierres (a cyberpunk series), and finally reading Sir Thursday by Garth Nix (fantastic!).
Games: Finished Dark Chronicle (although I didn't play the bonus chapter at the end because it had over 40 levels of dungeons and I was fed up with them by that point), then went back and completed the second in the .hack series, and am taking another break from it in order not to get too bored with the dungeons when I start the third one. Intended to take a complete break from games until Kingdom Hearts 2 came out over here, but recently cracked and bought Dragon Quest: The Legend of the Cursed King, which is turning out to be a lot of fun. And we now have a release date for KH2 in New Zealand!

Random other stuff: Went to see Troy: The Musical at the Circa Theatre with Orla a while ago and it was screamingly, hysterically funny. Also went to the expanded LotR exhibition at the museum, which was very cool. Have been going to the gym a lot more lately, as well as conspiring with friends, and all of this combined seems to eat up my time a lot. Craft Show this weekend, may or may not go.
